The Gatsby - Luxury Katoomba Accommodation
“We loved our weekend away and staying at The Gatsby was a perfect location for great restaurants, sightseeing and relaxing down time. Lorraine looked after us well to ensure all comforts met.”
Katoomba Manor
“Unreal experience. Hosts go above and beyond. Didn’t really know what to expect, but from minute we walked through the door we were welcomed and cared for with tea and cake. Only 4 guest rooms so they really pay attention to detail. Bathroom is gorgeous in “Australis” room, my jaw hit the floor when I saw it. Included breakfast was a full hot breakfast, juice, warm croissants, hot toast, fresh fruit. Kept us going all morning!”
YHA Blue Mountains - Katoomba
“I highly recommend Katoomba YHA for group bookings. The facilities are clean with everything you need for a self-catered private event. The staff are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Their service is exemplary. I will definitely be staying with YHA again.”
The Katoomba Family Hotel
“Bistro was amazing. Greeted by a very friendly welcoming host who couldn't attend to my needs more. Start to finish superb. One of the best meals I've had. Drinks are amazing. I didn't stay at the hotel. I stopped and had dinner.”
Katoomba Town Centre Motel
“For the price, rooms are old, but super clean and very cosy. Nice sheets and towels. Just a nice, clean, cheap hotel located very close to where all the action is that was more than adequate for my golf weekend. These local gems are getting more and more rare these days in a world full of cookie cutter hotels owned by conglomerates. Try it and smile all the way to the bank.”

“Such a positive experience, nursery was my favourite area to shop. Dave was extremely helpful and now I have a bunch of plants”

The Flying Fox Backpackers
“Ross, the guy who runs this hostel is a man of big heart and has great empathy for all the guests who come from different walks of life. This hostel has been in Katoomba since 20 years and more. Heaps of photographs on the walls outside the office, speaks volumes. 5 stars for, - The guests are friendly, mostly international backpackers and Aussies who are visiting the blue mountains. - Lovely music that is playing all through the day, the beautiful cat which is part of the lovely family, the evening board games in the living room and the convos at the dinner table. - Chill out zones are the indoor fireplace, fireplace in the backyard, and living room where all the board gamers hang out in the evening. - Then there is pasta night every week, Ross himself cooks pasta for everyone. - From avid climbers to bushwalkers, from professionals who have taken a sabbatical to nomads/wanderers, from city siders to people who have lived in the bush, their stories makes the whole experience enriching! - The hostel is clean - the bathrooms, kitchen and all the public areas. - You don't feel lonely here.”
Illalangi Cottage Blackheath, Boutique Accommodation Blue Mountains
“Illalangi is one of the most adorable cottages to stay in, I have been a guest twice and in all honesty will be back again and again. The bedrooms are beautiful, the kitchen equipped with everything you could need and a couch that makes it hard to leave for the adventures surrounding you. With a cracking fire and a glass of wine it is easy to imagine never leaving. Ragna and John are perfect hosts. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Blue Mountains I cannot recommend this place enough.”
The Carrington Hotel
“This 140 year old hotel has to be one of the finest holiday destinations in this country. The Carrington has been beautifully restored after laying dormant and in disrepair for many years. We could not fault it in any way and the Devonshire Tea is the best we have ever had. The staff are very courteous and most helpful. We will be back. Congratulation to the management.”
Kurrara Historic Guest House
“The rooms were artistically decorated with a historic touch and feel. We enjoyed the SPA so much! The lounges were wonderful places for guests to interact with one another during breakfast and afternoon tea. Thank you very much Ian for your hospitality and even going the extra mile to get something for us from the grocery store. It was a great experience staying in this beautiful house! Highly recommended!!!”
Blue Lyrebird Co Living Blue Mountains
“my sister and I from Nepal stayed at the blue lyrebird accommodation in katoomba for a very long time unfortunately we had to leave to go back to Nepal for family issues were very sad to leave this place we called home Wendy who runs the place is very accommodating for the tenants needs and makes sure everyone is safe and comfortable also Big John as they all know is also very accomodating when Wendy is not around you can also call on John, like Wendy likes to see the tenants happy, hopefully we will be able to stay there again when we return, we miss the place and our friends we made. It is a very warm and homely atmosphere and everyone gets on with each other and look out for one another. A great place to call home for long term, close to station, shops and entertainment.”

The Metropole Guest House
“1st time staying at the Metropole and we will definitely be back. This establishment has a wonderful times gone past feel and it’s clean, neat and tidy. We loved our room and we were equally impressed with the library and games rooms. Jack at reception was professional and friendly. Furthermore, the location is very convenient, close to the train station, bus stop, coffee shops and restaurants on the main street. Plenty of parking available on site. See you next time.”

“We stopped here on the way home from visiting the 3 sisters. The staff were really lovely and accommodating. They interacted with our little boy and he had a play in the kids room while we ate. We just stopped without plan for a meal, very pleased that we did.”
Echo Point Discovery Motel
“Had a great stay great nights sleep In a really comfortable bed. Location was brilliant only a minute walk from the three sisters. Outside is very dated but the rooms are excellent. Only thing I wished they upgraded were the windows as they rattled slightly when it was very windy.”

“Cute room, cute hotel parking straight in front of our room. Clean bed, clean sheets, clean pillowcases and clean toilet and bathroom. There is a microwave in the room which is so helpful and perfect. Walking distance to the Echo Point and also the chocolate factory at Lurline st. Aircon works perfectly, nice sleep in the night.”
