Gnoll Park
“Lovely park with duck pond, plenty of walks of different length and ability. A nice mix between wilder areas and less muddy walks. Large park with post area, cafe, plenty of parking although you do need to pay. Not expensive though. Nice views from the higher areas. A new nature reserve area is opening with a space reserved for planting trees, one for every child on Wales. Lovely idea. Great park for walkers, joggers, children of all ages.”
Margam Country Park
“Beautiful place for picnic, walk. Plenty of attractions for kids. Dogs are allowed but on the lead( excluding Fairytale Village). Be prepared for few hours if you want see everything. Everyone find something for yourself.”
Gnoll Country Park - Waterfall And Stream
“I had the most lovely experience visiting this amazing natural space in Neath. The area of the park is huge, I spent more than 4 hours walking there and still left many areas without exploring them. The lake brought me back memories of the movie The Lake House! that's how beautiful and romantic this is, please take your dog with you if you're coming here, he will thank you later. The Park was almost empty today because it was raining so much but I didn't care I actually think the experience under the rain was even better. I'm coming back soon.”
Gnoll Country Park
“Lovely place for a stroll for a few hours, a little cafe for drinks and food and an ice cream shop, you only pay for parking which was less the £3 for as long as you want”
Craig Gwladys Country Park
“Great walk! very scenic, plenty of picnic benches and numerous bins to discard your rubbish which I find lacking with most country parks these days.”

Mount Pleasant Park
“My baby loves it there grass needs to be cut lol more equipment and it's nice to see the glass has been cleared as it was a dangerous place but has got better”

“A lovely place to look over the mountainous terrain.”
Lone Wolf Campsite
“Lovely campsite that I wouldnt class as basic but rather beautiful. Ian greets guests and will politely go through everything from the toilets- either compost or portaloo, kitchen area and free shower facilities. I didnt use the shower, kitchen or portaloos but the compost toilet was very well maintained and very clean! Ive seen dirtier toilets in bars and supermarkets! You can choose either the field or woodland area to camp. I chose the woodland and bought a sack of wood (£6) for a fire. I dont think ive ever had such a relaxing and peaceful camp- only stayed for one night but I'm already trying to plan another stay at the lone wolf campsite. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and want to get away from everything then this campsite is for you, if youre after a yurt with electric hook up, chilled sparkling water on constant supply and someone to clean up after you then keep looking this lovely set up will not be for you!”
Sgwd Yr Eira Waterfall
“Lovely walk, takes about 2 hours to get around the loop and see the waterfalls. Was quite slippery because of leaves, definitely needs walking boots and waterproofs if you want to go behind the waterfall! Red route is fair flat but the green route to get to the waterfalls are very steep. Car park is £5 card parent at the machine which is great.”
Sgwd y Pannwr
“One of four waterfalls along a 3-4 hr walk. We stopped here and cooked lunch and brew a coffee whilst surrounded in nature. Incredibly beautiful place to walk around. The walk is incredibly challenging but worth it for all the views. Wear proper footwear and be prepared for steps. @momentsofiutdoors for more photos of what we did.”
Go Ape Margam
“Wow what a great day out, I was given this as a birthday present and absolutely loved every minute of it, all the staff were brilliant especially our happy instructor emma, we got it done in about roughly 2 hours, throwing yourself down the zip lines was the easy part, trying to climb the cargo nets was a lot harder than it looks, ill happily come back here, highly recommended”
The Barn B&B and Tyn Cellar Farm Cottages
“We stayed at the B&B on a work trip and this B&B is amazing. The building itself is lovely. The rooms themselves are immaculate and cosy and the hosts, very kind and welcoming!”

Henrhyd Falls
“We thoroughly enjoyed our walk in late February. We were 4 adults and 2 kids, it was a clear day but lil muddy. Wear proper boots for a good grip. Path/track near to the waterfall is a bit tricky so be very careful. A nearby car park is available.”
The Colliers Arms
“What a find, the town where Richard Burton was born. Warm welcome by the staff, extra warm welcome to my 3 yr old grandson. Made a fuss of him immediately. Fab food 2 meals for £11.99 Childs meal was huge, Fish bites with beans & real chips, the fish was really white and chunky Corned beef pie tasty Scampi well portioned for price”
Love Munch Kitchen
“Great food, well packaged to keep the food hot. Crispy beef was excellent, fries are cooked perfectly. Cluck norris was really nice. Partner had the Mac Attack and she loved it, normally very fussy eater. Arrived early, polite delivery driver. Definitely ordering here again.”
Afan Lodge

The Brit Pub
“My family and I visited on Sunday 30 October and we all enjoyed our Sunday lunch. We gave 10/10 for the lamb, beef and chicken versions; one of the best Sunday lunches we have eaten. In addition, the puddings are to die for, so if you are looking to indulge yourself visit The Brit Pub: great welcome, great atmosphere and lovely food. Oh, and thank you for making such a fuss of our Miniature Schnauzer; he enjoyed himself too!”
The Whale, Aberavon
