Meeson Hall
● Open“I do not normally leave reviews, but this is a truly exceptional hotel, the cleanliness, decoration, comfort, food, service and hospitality are the very best I have experienced. Couple this to the fine seventeenth century building and its well-kept grounds make any stay a unique experience. My wife and I enjoyed every moment and really did not want to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Adrian and Mark. If you are looking for a getaway that is elegant, peaceful and quiet you will not be disappointed.”

The Moorhead Bed and Breakfast
● Open“Having just arrived home from staying 3 nights at the Moorhead bed and breakfast all I can say is that the place is amazing. From entering through the gates and driving down the long driveway to being greeted by Rebecca we had a fantastic stay. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the beds are so comfy that I slept like a log not waking once. Rebecca herself is an amazing host and nothing is to much trouble for her and she is very interactive with her guests. She goes out of her way to ensure that you have a perfect stay. The breakfasts are to die for, done to perfection and generous portions. It is the ideal place to stay and visit the many interesting places around the Shrewsbury area. I would certainly say it’s the best Bed and Breakfast that we have stayed at and we will definitely be going back to stay again. In my opinion I would rate the Moorhead as 5 star at least. Thanks for making our stay such an enjoyable one Rebecca we had a fantastic time.”

Leafields Retreat Ltd
● Closed“We have used Leafields twice now and it’s brilliant. More than enough space for my lab, Monty, to get his exercise during the day and play with other dogs which means he is enjoying himself and getting worn out. Claire takes a proper control of all the dogs and I absolutely trust the set up at the kennels. Oh and if my review isn’t enough to convince you about this place, Monty genuinely seemed gutted when I picked him up! Great kennels.”
-
The Collar Club Staffs
● Closed“We can’t thank Shaz enough for looking after Chester so well while we went away for a night recently. This was the first time that Chester had ever stayed anywhere other than with family and I was quite worried about leaving him but he ran in with his tail wagging and has had the best time! Chester is a real home dog and leaving him in a kennel environment was not an option for us. Here he was able to stay in the family home and had other dogs for company too.Shaz really reassured us by sending lots of photos and updates and has clearly given him lots of love! We would highly recommend The Collar Club and already have a weeks holiday booked for later in the year knowing that he will be looked after brilliantly.”

Train Me & My Dog; Training, Daycare & Boarding
● Open“We were recommended Maria by a friend who was using her services. We initially approached looking for advice on our best approach for our new family member. Maria listened and took time to understand our goals and considered the best options. We enrolled on a puppy training class. The atmosphere was informal but very well coordinated and very successful, we have a puppy that we feel is still very much a puppy but the tools to help her develop as well us develop with her. They also have boarding facilities and day care, both of these we have used and continue to use. The daycare is very good for our pups social skills and we have a family member who is social with other dogs and understands how to interact. Boarding service is very reassuring to use as we know Maria and her Steve treat our little pup with the same love and care as we do. We really cant recommended training me and my dog enough. You and your furry family member will enjoy. Thank you Maria and Steve.”

The Coach House, Milford
● Closed“The Coach House is a beautiful bed and breakfast with a lovely view. It was clean and spacious in a great location. The garden just off the bedroom has a table and chairs for you to sit out and enjoy the view. Its only a ten minute drive away from cannock chase and you can also get into the forest from the top of the drive way. It has everything you need for a night or few days away. Elaine, the owner was lovely and a delight to talk too. The breakfast was the nicest we have had and we were spoilt for choice! We would definitely recommend staying here and shall be returning soon.”

Ashleigh Buxton
● Open“What a fabulous find! Just outside the town centre (but still within walking distance) with plenty of parking, this privately owned B&B has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The rooms have been finished to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need (lots of sockets) and, most importantly, are spotless. The bathrooms, again spotless, have the fluffiest towels you could possibly imagine! Lovely bath and a shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast is cooked and served by the owners, Glenn and Nathan, and was delicious with plenty of choice....not just your normal ‘continental’ breakfast! We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer......can highly recommend and we will certainly be back.”

Crewe and Harpur | Longnor | Peak District
● Closed“This place is amazing!! I cannot recommend it more highly! I booked it for 31 of us to stay for my husbands surprise 40th birthday. We were the last to arrive so had no idea what we were walking into whilst all the other guests had arrived. I did wonder what we would find as this place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but it was SO worth it. The venue was fantastic and is basically like having a lock in - your very own pub. Such a fantastic idea and really unique place to stay. Peak Venues website is brilliant with all the links on there for food and local pubs etc. We used a private chef one night and Scoff food which was delivered in the morning for that evening for the second night and did a tesco delivery for the rest. The venue is lovely and really nicely done - the lounge is lovely and spacious so we all watched the rugby on the saturday afternoon. The pub area is large enough that everyone can eat together. The cottages are beautiful and really recently refurbished by the look of it and are much nicer than the rooms in the actual house but they are all still really nicely done. As the cottages are set in a courtyard it doesn't feel like they are that set away from the property. The village is lovely and all the people staying in the house that visited the local shops commented on how friendly this little village is. Everyone who came for this weekend of fun could not say enough good things about this place...This is definitely 10/10... If you think it's a long way to go...I promise it will be worth the drive there!!”
