Ashleigh Buxton
● Open“What a fabulous find! Just outside the town centre (but still within walking distance) with plenty of parking, this privately owned B&B has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The rooms have been finished to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need (lots of sockets) and, most importantly, are spotless. The bathrooms, again spotless, have the fluffiest towels you could possibly imagine! Lovely bath and a shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast is cooked and served by the owners, Glenn and Nathan, and was delicious with plenty of choice....not just your normal ‘continental’ breakfast! We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer......can highly recommend and we will certainly be back.”

Mark Buxton Estate Agents
● Open10 Queen Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle ST5 1ED, United Kingdom“Absolutely incredible service from Mark. We've moved house many times and have never experienced this level of committed service. Mark goes above and beyond, at all hours of the day to maintain excellent communications and keep the whole process as smooth as possible. Would never consider using another agent again. Can't recommend highly enough. Huge thanks from us.”

Buxton Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite
● Open“A gem of a site surrounded by rock cliffs with very helpful staff. The pitches are well arranged and easy to get on. The shop has the main basics, but also an excellent range of baked goods from the Bakewell bakery. A favourite is the Original Bakewell Pudding, much better than the standard shop bought Bakewell tart. The wardens and staff are friendly and helpful. One thing: the jackdaws, amongst other birds, including geese, can be a bit noisy during the day as they fly above the site, but we like hearing them as they call to each other.”

Premier Inn Buxton hotel
● Open“Got to the hotel late due to traffic but staff very helpful and we're able to serve dinner even though it was nearly finished. Friendly staff and professional. Room tidy and clean. Only gripe was asked for room to be serviced and got back late to find my towel still in the bath! Also Mr Premier Inn....why do we have to ask for the room to be serviced....since CoVid you refuse to service rooms as a norm but your prices are rising. Other chains and independent hotels service rooms as a norm. Don't be a cheapskate and do like the rest.”

Ensana Buxton Crescent
● Open“Spa was amazing with lots of different pools and treatment rooms plus a collection of saunas and steam rooms. Outdoor/indoor pool was my favourite, lovely warm water even on a cold evening. We were in attic rooms which were nicely decorated though the roof in the eaves was a bit low. Shower was great, very powerful and hot. Valet parking which was nice touch.”

The Old Hall Hotel
● Open“A lovely classical feel hotel. Eleanor on reception was particularly helpful, courteous & professional, all staff are so friendly. Really recommend the Mary Bower room, a delightful stay. An A1 location, it's genuinely a historic building, if its revamped I do hope they'll not mess, destroy the historical vibe & authenticity! that'd ruin everything that makes it so special & unique... Already looking forward to our future return. Tony & Debbie.”

Premier Inn Macclesfield South West hotel

Huts In The Peak
● Open“Such a warm welcome to a wonderful homely Shepherd's Hut on a working farm. After meeting the donkeys and other furry or feathery residents, we settled into Twobob where everything for a perfect stay had been put in place by our friendly hosts. The firepit outside was a nice way to enjoy a starry evening but waking up to a crisp winter Peak District scene was very special. If you want the combination of a bit of luxury with a picturesque rural setting, these huts are highly recommended.”

Portland Hotel
● Open“We stayed here as a stopover on a long journey from Scotland to Kent and were very pleased with the service and the breakfast particularly. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation but this did not impact our stay and it is a little dated in places but our room was spacious, clean and warm. For the price we paid for a night's stay and breakfast we felt it was very good value for money.”

Crewe and Harpur | Longnor | Peak District
● Open“This place is amazing!! I cannot recommend it more highly! I booked it for 31 of us to stay for my husbands surprise 40th birthday. We were the last to arrive so had no idea what we were walking into whilst all the other guests had arrived. I did wonder what we would find as this place is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but it was SO worth it. The venue was fantastic and is basically like having a lock in - your very own pub. Such a fantastic idea and really unique place to stay. Peak Venues website is brilliant with all the links on there for food and local pubs etc. We used a private chef one night and Scoff food which was delivered in the morning for that evening for the second night and did a tesco delivery for the rest. The venue is lovely and really nicely done - the lounge is lovely and spacious so we all watched the rugby on the saturday afternoon. The pub area is large enough that everyone can eat together. The cottages are beautiful and really recently refurbished by the look of it and are much nicer than the rooms in the actual house but they are all still really nicely done. As the cottages are set in a courtyard it doesn't feel like they are that set away from the property. The village is lovely and all the people staying in the house that visited the local shops commented on how friendly this little village is. Everyone who came for this weekend of fun could not say enough good things about this place...This is definitely 10/10... If you think it's a long way to go...I promise it will be worth the drive there!!”

Roseleigh Guest House
● Open“I booked the Roseleigh Guest House for a walking weekend with friends and from initial enquiry through to the day we departed Gerard and his team were very helpful and considerate of our needs. The accommodation was in a perfect location and one of the comfiest sleeps I've had away from home. The breakfast was something to look forward to each morning with a whole array of cereals, fruits, juices, and different full breakfast for all. I would definitely recommend the Roseleigh for a well priced comfortable stay in Buxton, and I will definitely be staying there again.”
