“We are very happy to have PMS managing our property. James and Lee are competent, highly experienced, and found a tenant quickly when another local agent had failed us. Some teething issues were quickly fixed by local tradespeople (imploding boiler!) and their cleaner made the house immaculate. There is not a better agent in the Chichester area.”

Emails are responded to the same day. I think the thing that sets them apart from other agents is that they have a lot of integrity. Joe is our main contact at Chinneck Shaw and nothing has ever been too much trouble. Their service is fantastic. They are really nice, genuine people which goes a long way as it's becoming a lot rarer nowadays. I find the contractors they work with to be the same - very friendly, decent people. We have now purchased our own home, but when we eventually sell it Chinneck Shaw are the agents we will be using. They go above and beyond, cannot praise them highly enough. “08/08/2013 Room 2 Found this nice cottage hotel by chance when St j**ns b&b let me down, The owner was very helpful and got me sorted with a nice spacious room for 1 night overlooking the pool, some noise with people returning in the evening but nothing to moan at. The Hotel was kept to a good standard, spotless throughout Breakfast was excellent with a good choice on offer & good parking (large gravel drive/car park) I come from a hotel and catering background, previously working for Swallow, Renaissance & Marriot Hotels and the level of customer service and attention to detail offered at the cockle warren was on par with these hotel chains. Unfortunately my visit was on business so my 4yr old missed out on the pool, next time im bringing the family. Thank you & see you soon. Andrew Piper (Nottingham)”

“Very special Bed and Breakfast in Portsmouth - they renovated several buildings - we were at Sumer set house right across the street to the Breakfast bar - they had a variety of delicious food to choose. The concierge was so nice - we came with a camper an - so the access to a parking place was not easy to find in the street - so the manager removed his car! Walking distance to many restaurants an the sea with pier.”

Happily give it 10 stars out of 5, and I never give full marks for anything. When you have paid literally thousands of pounds, you would expect something for your money. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Clive, James & the rest of the team, with a particular mention to James, who went above & beyond. Every single one of our guests commented how excellent the food, service, music & everything else was. Highly, highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.”

“Had a great short break here. Dinner, a ticket to Osborne House and the ferry were all organised for us. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed, a good sitting area and a separate bathroom. The food in the restaurant was enjoyable and the waiters were pleasant and happy to chat.”

“Being in the property business I came to depend upon Martin & Co for their advice, guidance and up-to-date letting information a great deal. Matt has helped me with various lettings since 2018. I came to know Matt and James really well since December 2021 when they helped me to let out one of my properties. “Went for anniversary treat, could have used more of facilities but chose not to. Food was excellent, waiting staff courteous and helpful. Wish we'd checked the entertainment, solid jazz all weekend not for us and no other option except TV. Only downside for us, majority went for the jazz.”

“Food very good. Buffet and menu. Chalets are warm, clean and modern. Broadband, television, fridge and very modern shower were all great. Heating very effective in chalets. Activities include archery, shooting, bowls - also two full size snooker tables. Swimming pool and gym are very good. Location is walking distance from sea front. We recommend Lakeside and have been here a number of times before.”

Parking not a major problem, limited at the hotel, but on street was around the building and larger carpark available over the road. 10 minute walk to the quayside with shops and restaurants. Could easily have stayed a longer if needed. Very good breakfast as well and included.”
