"Great hotel vibe, has an older solid vintage fee and character but is clean and very comfortable. Good location away from tourist traps but convenient to access. Good food and drink options on site."

"What a terrible ending to what could have been a good night. I arrived yesterday evening to say hello to friends who had asked me to come check out the space of the lounge. I host events and am always looking for new spaces. Unfortunately I could never do business with an establishment that hires the most unprofessional security team. A team led by extremely aggressive men/bullies. As I was waiting off to the side of the entrance for my driver to pull around the corner in the hotel lobby, I was asked to step outside. I explained to the man that my car was pulling up in less than a minute and that I felt safer being inside the hotel as I had extremely expensive property on my person and not to mention it was 20 degrees outside. A second man approached me after listening to me explain to the First Gentleman why I felt uncomfortable to stand outside and his behavior that followed was not only shocking but disappointing. This Second employee walked over to mock my concerns & open the door forcibly telling me to get out & that it wasn’t his job to worry about my safety. As the world is already chaotic and losing more real men by the day, the ones who represented this hotel last night should be removed and replaced by real men who put the safety of women first especially within such a dangerous city. As I exited, the same employee verbally assaulted two more women after me who expressed the same safety concerns. What a terrible first experience and what a shame as I had high hopes to do potential business and help bring more revenue to this establishment that I will happily never return to."

"Fantastic location, clean rooms and amazing service! Everybody is super-attentive and they make you feel like at home. The only reason I don't give the 5 starts to the 'Rooms' section is because there was a foul odour coming out from the pipes in the bathroom that was hard to stand. But I understood that had more to do with the NYC sewage system than with the hotel itself. Other than that, the room was spotless and everything was perfectly clean and tidy daily at our arrival from visiting the city. I would happily book again my accommodation at the Freehand Hotel!"

"Location is a big positive, so is the overall aesthetic and room-decor of the entire hotel. No complaints there. The room I reserved was a deluxe queen room, I don't know what was exactly "deluxe" about it other than the fact it was slightly more expensive than the regular queen room. There was no bathrobes, no clock, no functioning phone, paper thin walls, and a ton of fruit flies in the bathroom! A lot of noise in the room as well from the city (to be expected), but also from the rooms around me (all sides, above and below)."
