"The AMC is an incredible place. Our dog is a patient and the level of care she receives there is exceptional. I urge anyone that has a pet with health issues to just make an appointment and get started because it will undoubtedly be the best thing you will do for your pet. We have had experience with internal medicine, ophthalmology, Emergency, and ICU: all excellent experience. Everyone that works there is warm and eager to help and I cannot imagine what we would do without them. Dr. Palma has saved our dog’s life…. My family and I have grown to trust him explicitly, as his expertise and compassion are unmatched. Our 12.5 yo old dog now has a quality of life that I am certain she wouldn’t have if not for being under his care & guidance. His assistant, Julia, is fantastic as well, and she has been a tremendous help to us, especially with medication. When our dog lost her vision to diabetes, Dr. van der Woerdt literally gave our dog back her sight. While not only a brilliant ophthalmologist, she is one of the loveliest people I’ve met there. I can now say that the scary and uncertain initial diagnosis that led us to seek out the AMC has ended up becoming the greatest blessing in our dog’s life. Thank you for being there for us!!"

"I had arrived early, and despite being very busy I was seen quickly and before my scheduled appointment time. The staff were knowledgeable and compassionate. I was given realistic options for my pet's complex needs and they went over the different costs associated with those pathways. They gave me a good resource for finding my pet's medicine at a more affordable rate. They have responded quickly to my emails."

"I can’t say enough good things about AMC. They’ve saved my pets numerous times. Their level of care is far superior than that of any other vet in NYC. It may be a longer wait than other places, and it may be slightly more expensive, but your pet will receive the best care possible. To me, that’s worth it every time."

"I took my cat, Olive, here Monday evening when she stopped putting weight on her right hind leg and showed signs of being in pain. They got us in quickly and the vet techs and vet showed such care for her. While the prognosis was not good and I did have to take her in to my regular vet for a biopsy, the vet was very communicative and made sure I was able to take her home with a prescription for pain medication and clear instructions with how to proceed. Additionally, the hospital was able to set me up with a payment plan for the bills. Looking over the invoice, the cost of the tests and prescriptions were actually very reasonable; the most expensive charge was the $290 emergency exam fee. While this is a lot of money for an exam, I consider it well worth the cost for the speed with which we were seen and the care they showed my cat. Olive is doing better today but we are waiting on biopsy results to know more."
