"I ordered these two books online and went to pick them up a few days later. I received just the one book and was told the other book was not able to be found. I went to the customer help desk and the two very nice women working went on a hunt throughout the store to find me these books. I live in Costa Rica and me ordering online just simply is not a reasonable option unless it’s when I’m in the states. THANK YOU for going the extra mile this day for me!"
"I haven't been in a Barnes & Noble store in years, and it certainly has changed. There was a pretty big cafe area for the Starbucks, with a circular fireplace that people could sit around. There were actual vinyl records for sale, and among the Bluetooth speakers and headphones, there was a replacement stylus for a record player. Their RPG section was (IMHO) pitifully small, with most books shrink-wrapped, so you couldn't glance at them to see if they might be something you might want. They did have a big section for board/dice/card games and puzzles (both jigsaw and physical), and an even bigger toy section that was full of things that I might have expected at Target. Of course there were lots of books, nicely set up in sections, but I found it hard to figure out the arrangement in some places. Most of it seemed to be set up by author, but other places seemed to be by theme, and this could change on a shelf without notice. Overall, it's still a good bookstore. But as much as it was set up to sit and relax in the cafe area, the arrangement and atmosphere just rubbed me the wrong way. I will probably go back for targeted shopping, but not to just look around."
"Store was clean and organized. Finding a specific book can still be a chore but this isn’t unique to this location or any specific bookstore in particular. They have a great Games selection as well."
"Went in to buy the book Zilot which I saw advertised this morning on the Today show. Took time to find it but I'm glad they were able to. My daughters and I used to do something very similar throughout the day, but especially at bedtime. We made up little rhymes and songs and sang them with gusto so this book struck a chord with me. The staff are always super helpful."
