"We were staying only one night and after that night we wish we were staying longer! Will definitely be back! There are cats in the house - in case you are allergic. The room was clean and very comfortable. The morning breakfast was amazing! Close to walk to historic area."

"This place matched me so well I came back on my way back home. The owner and I connected so well that I will need to return again as we chatted the morning away. I loved his cats and stories of traveling and connecting. It is a perfect spot near main Street and the MississippiRiver. I am so happy to find a place I enjoyed so very much. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the attractions but absolutely thrilled to do my favorite travel activity and connect with really cool people. Great city for Mississippi river lovers."

"Delightful! Chris is a terrific host. We learned a bit of the history of the house and a bit more of the neighborhood. The B&B is clean, the antique furniture fun, the breakfast delicious. We had a great time and will rebook when we return! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"I really wanted to like this place but as much as I tried I just couldn't get past my first impression. The front porch was filthy and held a large plywood box and two cat beds that had old cat feces on them. We were greeted by a very friendly man (not the owner) who showed us our room and talked a little about the history of the house. Once inside we learned that two additional cats live in the house and have access to the entire property. We were told to shut the transom above our door if we didn't want the cat to come in. The house is quaint and has tremendous potential but I just couldn't get past the cats. We chose this location because it is advertised as pet friendly but we did not know that there are cats that live there and have the run of the house. I'm allergic to cats. I understand pet friendly to mean that you could bring your own pet and keep it crated in your own room while you were out, which is what we always do when we travel. In addition I couldn't get past the smell of the house. It smelled of cat urine that had been sprayed over by Febreze to try to mask the scent. We tried to stay but couldn't do it. We returned to the room and notified the owner we would not be staying for breakfast. After a short amount of time we left and decided to make the 3 hour drive back home. If your first contact of a property includes old nasty cat feces on a dirty cat bed it makes you wonder what else is lurking in the parts of the house you can't see..."
