"I have never seen a station uglier than this, but it gets the job done. Needs a serious overhall, and just overall beautification, this is a disgrace to our city. The sidewalks around the station are also not maintained."

"Bus left a little early. Bus station cleanish with dreary lighting. Information desk was very helpful and fast. They announced the boarding of the bus clearly and loudly. They didn't unlock the door going out to the bus until about 10 minutes after the final boarding announcement. Signage for which bus goes where clearly marked."

"Gorgeous multifaceted well-maintained facility. In and out. No clutter, no fat. Clean facility. Everything appears streamlined to service many, while operating as though only a few. In other words, in another way of saying, this faulty abs its personnel seem to make their service to those in transit appear fairly easy. This of course translates to an ease to transit experience for the customer. Bathroom facilities immaculate considering the high level of human traffic in and out. Security pretended presence appropriate and not overbearing. This is a standardized public service facility. It sets the example. It essentially has what it takes to properly, electively and safely service those in transit, very well. Kudos to the on-site hot food court."

"Smallish train station but enough for the volume of people coming thru, clean facilities, but overhead lights are too dim. Amtrak counter staff was very helpful. We bought our tickets online but train/shuttle was behind one hour from the online ticket and when we asked about it, it was merely explained as "misprinted" even if real time info was still late 1 hr. We were on our way south and had to take a 2-hour Amtrak shuttle to the transit station in Carbondale. The shuttle driver was friendly and helpful, but the shuttle ride was tight and uncomfortable, and I'm a small person. The trains run efficiently and have a few longer stops (10 - 20 mins) along the way, but passengers are not allowed to leave the platform. There's some food that can be purchased on board, but they're mostly junk food sadly. It seemed ok to bring your own meal, reheating it is a different matter."

"I filed a formal complaint against Daniel Steinberg who currently works at the st louis gateway station. I arrived in st louis on december 18. I was coming from washington dc and had checked my luggage at that station. When i asked daniel if my luggage had arrived he didnt even check. He just said no and brushed me aside. Also, there was something off about his unprofessional behavior and attitude. i dont know if he suffering from any mental health problems but he was checked out and looked medicated or high on drugs. I dont know but he was just not there mentally. And that would explain why he did not even check if my luggage arrived. He said come the next day. I did come the next day and he gave me more attitude, refused to check if my baggage was fhere and was rude and condescnening. I am beginning to think that Daniel was racially profiling me and was refusing me proper service. He was also fairly discriminatory and brusque to other people of color at the station from what i saw. Eventually, on the third day, my luggage miraculosuly tuned up. As it turns out from contacting customer service and having them track it, the luggage was there the whole time. Daniel chose to neglect his duties. Daniel was rude, racist incompetent and maybe suffering from a mental or emotional condition. He should not be serving the public and should be reviewied. He is a disgrace to the profession."
