"I’ve lived here since March so I can give a more accurate review of what you will experience living here. For context I used to live in Seattle so I am used to living in “luxury” buildings in metropolitan cities. Regardless of how much money you have if it’s not right it’s important to vocalize your concern. ** The fact that management is under my post asking me to speak to them as if I haven’t reached out to regional and property is baffling and tone deaf to say the least. I can post the email exchanges to prove it. To UPDATE a few things are fixed now, but my review still stands. As I go through my lease I will update it accordingly. So now it’s from a 1 to a 2 star. If you all can go 3 months with consistent trash pick up, and no major things breaking — I’ll update it to a 3. I’M VERY FAIR. PROS: -The property manager does try her best. She really does try to hold this place together and I appreciate that because most property managers aren’t this way. The maintenance men are actually really nice. - The apartments themselves are beautiful, especially if you get one that has a view like I did. CONS: - You will be charged $300 yearly for “valet” trash service and it’s not going to be a consistent pick up. You can NOT opt out of this service regardless of how inconsistent it is. - Things break a lot around here. I’ve almost been stuck in the elevator, along with my water not working. - The blood in the elevator took it for me, yes they rectified that situation allegedly but even living in a building in downtown Seattle (a city with way more people) I’ve NEVER seen this, that blood was there from midnight until around 1pm the next DAY! - People tailgate, and one even followed me to my floor, pretended to go up to another neighbor’s apartment. - When you DO go into the leasing office it is not warm nor friendly unless your coming into inquire about an apartment. The staff is lack luster and unhelpful, and there seems to be a bit of a turnover rate. They need to be trained on customer service because next time I go in there and they stare at me like I don’t belong there or they’re clueless I might not be so nice. I don’t know if I’d do another lease here just yet - they would have to LOWER MY RENT for that to happen. My apartment is nice, but I have style and an eye for beauty so I’d be fine anywhere. I need to live in a REAL luxury building so we shall see. Had I known it was like this before I moved in, I wouldn’t have choose this place though. Another thing. There should be umbrellas up on the rooftop a pool in the summer with no umbrellas is utter ridiculous. Also no more grocery store, not the building fault but another amenity gone."
"I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It started out good but then flew out of control. I’ve seen other bad reviews but it seems like someone is taking them down. There were reports of gates being broken for weeks, cannabis smells, and other strange noises. I lived here they say they have new management but it all seems to be the same. No one can do anything for you staff at hand or someone higher above them. They promote luxury living but it isn’t. There’s been blood in the elevator overnight, says we had 24 security and we do not. With everything that goes on downtown you shouldn’t have to worry so much within the walls of your busking but living here you do. It was just unpleasant to stay."
"The new management company is impossible to get in touch with. My children are harassed by the employees and my eight year old was made fun of after an injury she sustained at the property left her walking on crutches. My children live at the building with my ex- and the terrible management doesn’t care about anything but the bottom line. The security guard and “manager” of the building let unoccupied teenagers PAY THEM to party on the roof and you can’t complain to anyone about it. Don’t rent in this building. Especially if you want privacy and not a “party” building on the verge of yet another disaster in downtown."
"I came into town with a friend and wanted to stop by apartments in the area to see what they looked like. When I walked into Monogram I was greeted by Kelsey who was extremely welcoming and helpful. She answered all of my questions about the area as well as the Monogram building. The lobby area was very clean and smelled wonderful! Not to mention, the apartments we toured were some of the cleanest we had seen when we were browsing. They have on site security, a beautiful rooftop pool and clubhouse, and a freakin grocery store!!! If I were actually moving downtown (who knows maybe I will in the future) I would have immediately said yes to Monogram. I felt very comfortable in the building and talking with Kelsey, it was as if I was talking with my best friend."
"Easy move-in (there's a freight elevator and dock to help). Staff is friendly and consistent. There's a residential portal so that you can communicate needs. Security is available on the busy days, so that's a nice added touch. Office is open to accept large packages, great for when you're first moving in and need to have stuff shipped in without having to wait around outside for it. There's also a VIP program for folks who are residents to attend establishments around the area. Regular meetups and resident activities and fun things like "national donut day" or tag your favorite pet on "national pet day". Looking forward to more activities here."
