"Great hotel in a great location. We checked out and left an item in the night stand. I called two weeks later and security had our item. Impressive! Movie theater is nice, pool is great and restaurants and bars also great. Straubs is right across the street where you can pick up snacks, wine and groceries."

"Really tried to enjoy our stay, but very disappointing for the price and expectations. First impressions matter and the guy at the check-in desk seemed to want to be anywhere else. I wanted to cancel the reservation and leave based on this initial interaction. The whole vibe throughout, while luxurious, is old Southern money, which is reflected in the staff and people staying here…snooty and rather insufferable. As we walked through the hotel, staff and guests were cold and looked at everyone suspiciously, but that might just be the vibe of the neighborhood as we felt the same in Straub’s around the corner. Even the security guy was miserable and not helpful. King room was comfortable and spacious but the downsides were the old and thin windows which made it sound like the ambulances were actually in our room and the awful water pressure in the shower. Some positives were the lobby being well-decorated for Christmas and the bar being surprisingly well-priced for a hotel bar, no more expensive than many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. We were considering having this hotel be our wedding HQ but based on this one night stay, we’ll take our family and friends elsewhere."

"LOVED this hotel. I stayed there for a company meeting and the rooms are amazing. I had a 1 bedroom with a really nice size living room and a nice size bathroom. The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of history.... pictures in the lobby of the past.... when we stayed there, they had a movie theater in the hotel....we just bought the popcorn. It is greatly situated with walking distance to restaurants and just walk around. We took an Uber to the Arch and it took about 10 minutes."

"Only there for a late dinner. After the balloon glow. Both of us traveling one from NC one from Florida. Dear friends who needed to talk and renew. It was a great evening. Beautiful place. Great food. Thankful it was open later."
