“Highlight of my trip! Our guide Georgia was so knowledgeable! I purchased the Deluxe Safari and this is well worth it. The general public bus was provided and included in admission, but was a large bus that held about 100 people, including many children (not for me), and because of the size of the bus, it could only stay on the road. Our deluxe safari bus only had 9 people, and we were able to drive off road right to see the animals.. We were just a few metres away from all the giraffes, rhinos, ostriches and zebras. 5 stars for sure!!”

“I loved this zoo. The enclosures were big and full of enrichment for the animals. The baby elephants were adorable! The giraffes were another highlight. The paths through the enclosures weren't too packed even on a midday weekend. Some of the animals were sleeping when I went, the lions, snow leopards and red pandas. If you love animals it's a must when you visit Melbourne.”

“Must see if you’re in town or even a local! This is my favorite zoo. So much so that I got married here. My wedding ceremony was wonderful back in 2014 thanks to the passionate staff at the zoo. Lots of different animals: elephants, big cats, reptiles and lots of peacocks walking about. In the spring time they have babies walking around too! Very kid friendly. Great for parties as they have different function rooms. You can also use the garden gazebos as well for cheaper kid parties. Money tips: Plan ahead as it’s quite big. A bit crowded on weekends which is expected. Bring your own food since the restaurants and cafes are outrageously expensive. It’s worth getting the membership if you’re likely to visit the other zoos as well.”

“I walked in to get some advise regarding the purchase of our new bengal kitten (first time cat mum!) Rachel and Jacqui were so helpful and gave my son and I so much advice and guidance. “Wow I couldn’t recommend this company high enough! I booked the petting zoo & pony rides for my sons 2nd birthday & Jason and his team went above and beyond to make it a unforgettable experience & even though we had terrible weather we had the best day. The animals were so healthy, loved and cared for. Jason was so warm and made everyone feel special bringing the rabbit up to my son and letting him have a little pat and telling us stories all about their amazing animals. The pony rides were extra special, having a pony in our backyard and doing walks up and down the driveway made it feel like we were at a fair! Would highly recommend them to everyone and would love to get them again next year the kids & adults enjoyed the experience equally!”

“Keep $2 coin for car park as it only accept this otherwise if u good with technology use the app or call and wait for few hours which is waistage of your time...$2 car park for 5 hours is great....you spend almost 5 hours and make good memories with ur family....overall it was great experience..my lil ones loved it.”

“Great zoo which you can easily do in a day! Displays are relatively close to each other so you don't need to walk for miles. Car park is cheap, just $2 for 5 hours of parking which pretty much covers your zoo day out. Highlights for small kids is the butterfly enclosure. Get their early as this gets pretty crowded quickly and dress so you can easily take layers off as it is super hot inside. Great on a cold winter's day! The feeding/talk/show times are a little awkward so recommend knowing when these are so you can plan your day to get the most from your day. There are plenty of places to sit down and eat your lunch. Recommend bringing your own food/drinks to avoid the queues and the high cafe prices.”
