“A little gem tucked at the back of the Cutting Remarks hair salon in Beckenham High Street. This salon is run by Karti for whom no request is too much. I have been going for a number of years now for a range of treatments: Henna eyebrows and lashes LvL Threading Waxing Facials and Indian head massage. Karti is hands down the best threader, swift, precise, with a keen eye for balance. I also love the henna tinting which is alot more durable than standard tint. Have recommended to local friends and neighbours who agree. Where do I start with the facials; a combination of surface techniques that leave my skin very smooth, glowing but includeing a robust muscular massage. I have struggled to find a facial/massage that matches in any weekend spa retreat or in high Street salons elsewhere this far south of London. The head massage is incredible, invigorating, strong and producing the best night sleep after. My other half says after an afternoon in Karti's I appear rejuvenated. High praise from a chap who normally doesn't notice these things! Karti always tried to accommodate in her busy schedule and I would highly recommend Karti festival for anyone who appreciates traditional Indian beauty treatment techniques blended with contemporary treatments.”

“This is my new local,despite living around here for 4 years- just wish I’d discovered it sooner. In the last few months I’ve had gel manicure, eye lashing tinting and Brazilian bikini wax and all have been brilliant. My nails were done so quickly but great care was taken and looked amazing and my wax was perfect. Would 100% recommend. Plus the ladies that work there (sorry I’m terrible with names!) are really lovely and do a great job.”

“Ash is the loveliest woman you could meet and extremely skilled. She has the patience of a saint and is very accommodating even when I’m being super fussy about how I want my eyebrows done. I regularly get waxed and massaged here too and Ash has magic hands. The waxing doesn’t hurt like other salons and her massages are always perfect. No clue what the other reviewers are on about, staff are too kind to ever be rude Must have this mistaken with another salon.”

“Today was my first time at this salon. I went in for a "repair" hair cut (ie I'd gotten a pretty rubbish hair cut previously somewhere else that needed fixing). Val was brilliant, she understood exactly what I wanted and I am so pleased with the result. I'll be going back for sure.”

“I was really surprised to see the bad reviews. Honestly. The places was great, the staff was So NICE and I absolutely loved my nails. Great value for money as well. I saw some comments about their nails being chipped and then asking for repair for free - are you guys having a laugh. It's not the salon's fault if you guys are doing rock climbing with freshly done manicure. They use the best nail colours - OPi and Essie. Or comments about being cash only - yes it's a bit annoying but tell me a salon in London that isn't. At least these guys don't rip you off. Lastly, some comments about the staff speaking their own language - this is full on racist. I see no problem with that, if it makes them feel comfortable and motivated in their own space. Chill the f out people.”
