“Such a fantastic place to stay. Came for a Valentine's night away from kids and had such a nice time. The room was big, clean, and had all the expected amenities like soap, shampoo, coffee, tea etc. Place has so many quirky features including our room that had a skylight that looks up to the pavement in the street! It was still private, but just a sight idea of naughtiness makes it fun. Highly recommend.”

“I had a great stay in Montcalm East during a business trip for a week. The hotel has quite a unique touch and at the price point the amenities can't be beat. The rooms are well planned, reasonably sized and the bathrooms are well appointed including the heated flooring. The hot/ cold breakfasts are so much better than the traditional American breakfast that is seen in the hotel chains. Location wise, this place is quite central to all the tourist spots that someone may want to hit.”

“Perfect place. Friendly relaxed staff, great location, laurels on the roof a lovely bright place to spend an afternoon. Pool very small and you’re in view of the diners but cute. Got a great room upgrade through efforts of reception girl from Moldova, don’t remember name..! Had a large roof terrace though not much use in winter, I’d love to come back to it in summer.”

“A simple and cheap option for a short stay in London! Definitely enjoyed my stay here with a McDonald's nearby to grab a quick familiar bite. But the cafes along the street were also really nice! Overall stay here was cosy and nice. The room is clean and the staffs were really helpful!”

“Really impressed, modern clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. Cannot fault it and one of the best places I've stayed in London at this price range. Just make sure you Google London Bridge and NOT tower bridge or you'll have a taxi ride to get to the correct hotel! Recommended.”

“Beautiful clothes, and wonderful staff. I've bought coats here in the past, and was very pleased with my purchases. The sales assistant, Olly, was so helpful. He showed me many lovely pieces, I chose 2 jackets, a glamorous brown faux fur, and a gorgeous orange teddy. I shall be back soon, to buy more special pieces.”

“I went to see The Batman here because on Friday, the tickets were only £10.99 (plus processing fee). The seats were very sloped so no one blocked my view of the screen. This is a major plus. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a really good experience.”

“This is my favourite shop on Fonthill Road as the stock is moving quite quickly. They sell a variety of separates. That are brilliant for work and they have quite a variety of outwear especially coats. They have a lovely selection of skirts as well as blouses. There are ni fitting rooms but there are a few mirrors that allow you to see what the garments will look like. Over the years I have purchased numerous pieces of clothing from this store with my favourite being my Christmas jumpers last year.”

She said we have both then she asked is it because you don't eat pork i said yes she then said unfortunately it's cooked in the same oil. Don’t feel any pressure to buy whilst browsing around in this beautifully curated shop, that is filled with unique pieces of both traditional and modern items antique retro furniture, paintings, ceramics, vintage clothes and accessories. With a welcoming front that has an array of some wonderful unusual potted plants. A must visit, m especially if in the area!”

“It was perfect for our weekend in family. Our daughter loved her bunk bed. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Shower was very nice and hot, bed was comfy. Not much space in the room, but we did not need it either. Breakfast was better than expected. Staff nice and smiley. Would definitely return.”

“High end shop, small but has lots of gorgeous shoes and great service from the staff, especially Nick. I have had so many compliments on the shoes I chose. 3 steps to front door in case that's an issue for mobility.”

“Exactly what I needed at the right price. Really helpful staff who went the extra mile when I made a mistake - got me sorted and had a good sleep before my flight from heathrow in the morning. Good clean rooms with relatively modern bathrooms and plenty of space. The stairs would make it difficult for anyone who has mobility issues, but they were very helpful and friendly so maybe there's some accomodation that can be made around lower-floor rooms The only downside was that it hasn't been updated in a while, it could do with a lick of paint and (e.g.) repair to the towel rail in the loo in my room to just smarten it up. However at this price point it was well above expectations. Breakfast was a take-away affair which was handy as I was rushing out early”
