"I booked this hotel on Expedia based off the pictures, and let’s just say they are completely false! They don’t look anything like pictured. The neighborhood is horrible. I had to book another hotel for my day and so to be safe. Then upon speaking to the management, I was told that I should have researched the area more and I couldn’t get a refund. So I had to get another hotel room and still paid for the one here. I was literally standing outside with my daughter feeling completely unsafe. The Uber driver didn’t want to leave us there. It’s horrible!"

"My wife booked with them two months ago, and they deducted the amount, and on the night of the reservation, they said that the card was not accepted.. And I spent more than eight hours in conversations with them, in more than ten calls, and each call lasted for an hour or more, and there were emails, chat, and the application, and the responses differed between Acceptance and rejection, and no one knows the system, and each one gives me different words.. There is no compensation, and no respect for time, effort, and money."

"Do NOT stay here in the colder months. I stayed in unit 7 for one and a half months, and would smell metallic and ashy odors through the air vents throughout my stay. Not a big deal, I had a fan and opened some windows. Then on a Sunday, a fire alarm went off and everybody inside ran out because we'd seen smoke. The resolution was to wait it out, as apparently the pub downstairs had used their fireplace, and then spray some air fresheners. When we got back inside, my bathroom had such an intense smoke smell that I couldn't take a leak without my head going dizzy. It lasted for about 8 hours. When I complained to Sonder, they said "they were looking into it, and were very sorry". Week after, all my clothes smelled like smoke, and then the next Sunday, the smoke was back in my bathroom. When I asked Sonder for anything, just a different room to shower in/use the bathroom, they had the same platitudes. Their solution was to spray air freshener outside my door (not even inside my room). It's clear my unit was affected by the pub downstairs. At the end, I wasn't looking for a refund or anything - I just wanted to finish out my stay without dying. If you're staying here, I would consider booking anything but units 1-8. Management is clearly uncoordinated, and the whole experience is screaming violations. Otherwise, the location is very central, the cleaning crews are very nice (though expensive and annoying as heck to book), and the staircase is quite narrow."

"Not going to lie, I was a bit worried about booking a hotel without a check in desk. I really didn't think it would look like the photos. BUT IT DID!! I was so happy and impressed, I will definitely be booking with Sonder again! The app is easy to use, the door codes came in both through an email and through the app a few days before check in. Happy to see that there are many other cities with Sonder hotels. The essentials closet was fully stocked and easy to access. Thanks for a great stay, can't wait to stay again :)"
