“A lovely grand historical venue with amazing picturesque gardens. We attended a shared Xmas party as two couples joined by 3 other companies having their Xmas party. The staff were amazing and attentive, the food was great and the atmosphere and entertainment was great. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to share a party and make some new friends. We didn't stay over so can't comment on the rooms. A special mention to Grant Chatfield, events manager who was extremely helpful and accommodating when we were booking and also gave as a lovely welcome on arrival.”

“Beautiful food in a relaxed and popular setting. Lots of people around on every table tucking into the delicious food. It creates a fantastic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend number 11 on the menu (the cold mezze platter with hummus, tabbouleh and falafel). Sharing is so delightful with such a reasonably priced menu. Nothing was too much trouble for the servers who swapped my order of french fries to a portion of the potatoes, thank you! Will definitely be returning.”

The food was excellent and the table had been decorated beautifully with crackers! We booked on a Tuesday evening and there was a quiz going on the other side of the pub but this didn't disturb us at all.”

I was there working as a digital nomad during the day and despite the fact the young lady on the bar was alone in the morning, she went out of her way to check I was okay whilst managing other customers. “We had a great experience shopping here a few days ago. We were greeted by the lovely old white man who seemed to help people with where they needed to go. It reminded me of Harrods and the level of his service definitely matched that Harrods standard. He helped us probably 3 times in our time there and was really knowledgeable of the departments. He was so friendly and made our experience really nice. I had no idea John Lewis had this service as it definitely made a difference to our shop that day. Thank you to the lovely man for approaching us so nicely and helping us with directions.”

There’s the option to play some snooker/pull if you’re up for it. Cheap drinks, student discount, a great mix of music (80s-present) and very friendly service. “I really liked this place because the members of staff were lovely and the food was excellent. The outside of the pub is also beautiful because of the lovely flowers. It was very clean and there was plenty of room to sit. The cheese toastie was delicious.”

“The best Indian in Kingston and always consistent! The food is delicious, always arrives hot and customer service on the phone is excellent and the so polite / friendly. Cannot recommend enough. I would say if you can then collect as they are quick at cooking but third party delivery services (like Uber Eats) are not so reliable. Obviously this is no reflection on the place itself and it's a shame that you have to call the restaurant to ask where the food is where it's put for delivery as it is no fault of theirs if it is late. I am one of those people (sorry!) but Spice Lodge are always so patient and cooperative when I do.”

“This is my favourite Post Office in Kingston, hands down. I have been their regular customer for almost 2 years now, and even though I moved to a new place and have another, closer Post Office point (Kingston Hill), I still keep visiting Hawks Local. All of their staff is super helpful, they process my business shipments impressively fast (even as late as 9:30pm), and always with a smile.
