"The proprietor Mrs. Crawley does the best scrambled eggs ever, a great breakfast, and is a wonderfully welcoming host, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is right opposite Queens Promenade, one of the most lovely walks on the river, and our room had a wonderful view of the river, but was quiet. Clean, bright and traditional it is right by all the shopping and facilities of Kingston with all its river cafes, bars, swans and boats. Pretty and reasonable, we will stay again."

"Good place to stay in Kingston, short walk to shops, restaurants, bars and river. Very friendly run hotel and lovely breakfast. Always stay here for the Christmas market. Room 5 overlooks the river with no traffic noise and is en suite. Reasonably priced."

"I have stayed here on multiple occasions in a single room, double room with ensuite and twin room without ensuite. I have found the rooms all to be clean tidy and comfortable, with tea/coffee facilities and a TV in each room. The breakfast that is included in the price is good and the cooked breakfast which you can customise depending what you fancy is always welcomed. The stairs are quite steep and the floors slightly uneven due to age of the building so some care would be required if less mobile. I would recommend to anyone looking for a well priced B&B in Kingston."
