Great food in Purley

“I went in to my local Screwfix branch (Croydon - Purley Way) to measure up a replacement syphon for a toilet cistern. I was served by Jennifer who was extra-helpful - bringing me different ones to look at so I could compare against the old one I had with me. It was really nice to be looked after like that, for a trivial, £20 purchase. Very pleased and I hope her management let her know what a great job she's doing.”

“This new shop is a great addition to Purley, where you can buy Asian food, including all types of spices, lentils, snacks, etc. Everything is clean and neatly displayed on shelves. Free 1 hour parking bays are available outside, which is convenient. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”

“Amazing shop best customer service in Croydon made a order before and they forgot to send cake mentioned in next order they sent the extra cake no question soeedy delivery piping hot food and amazing taste and value for money credit to the staff running this shop.... you've earned a loyal customer for life .. thanks oregano pizzeria..only thing I can say that's maybe me being picky I'd I only eat magherita pizza and love it with oregano being called oregano pizzeria I genuinely thought I'd get some oregano on my pizza lol .. next time I will ask other than that this shop and staff rocks”

“Dallas Chicken Purley has one of the best Peri Peri chicken, I have tasted. It was juicy and tender full of flavours. I love the Mild flavour and recommended to all my friends. Good spot to hang out with friends after work”

“Not sure about the older reviews - I see mixed opinions; my experience with it - we just ordered from Rajeev after he moved to the Jolly Farmers pub. Food was very nice, arrived quick with no delivery fee and they’ve got a lot of mains in the menu that I never tried / you typically don’t find in most Indian restaurants. We’ll order again surely and looking forward for the summer to eat in at the pub garden.”

“Lovley stay. The room and bathroom were very clean. Excellent location, right in a shopping centre surrounded with places to eat. Parking free which is a bonus. Staff were very friendly and even left a balloon and sweets in the room when they found out it was my daughter 6th birthday!”

“While I was at Sainsburys, I discovered an Argos on the corner. I love the location because it is convenient to pick up something when you shop at Sainsburys. The staff there and friendly and very helpful.”

“Great little local shop, recently refurbish and now has a much improved look and feel. Freshly baked bread and cakes each morning. Just don’t go in for a Lasagna tomato sauce as they don’t stick it.”

“Just had a takeaway from Taya Oriental. We ordered it and within minutes it arrived. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was loaded with chicken and the chilli beef was delicious. Chicken chow mien was lovely too. Certainly not the cheapest around but really lovely food and not greasy at all. Loved it.”

“WE JUST HAD OUR FOOD AND I couldn't help myself to make few nice notes for this chiniese take away and give some respect to the chiefs and staff over there we phone them to place an order guy we spoke was nice and polite, FOOD WAS ON TIME AND AMAZING before we were oredering from different place so now we found the best one in our area singapore vermichelly was nice very fresh and hot cantonise style spare ribs was one of the best i ever tried it was meaty and delicious, house special chow mein was with amazing sause and i don't even know what they added but it wass so dellicious i cannot understand why they have so low rating this must be one of the top take aways in the area!!!! RECOMENDED !!!!!!!!!!”

“First time trying this new cafe on a rainy day. Warm friendly and busy. Good coffee and croissant - and an inviting breakfast and lunch menu. Turkish Breakfast sounds good - next time. Pretty outside seating deck too wet today even under the awning, but usually busy. Great to have a good cafe near the station and the past office”
