Ruffians Covent Garden
● Closed27 Maiden Lane, London WC2E 7JS, United Kingdom“Ruffians Covent Garden has been my go-to place for haircuts for over a year now. The staff there, especially Jay, Cam and Nat have done consistently done a phenomenal job in keeping my hairstyle look great, and I get compliments from a fair few folks- including a number of ladies! Ha ha ha!! The rest of them, especially Sam, are also a jovial yet professional bunch that books in my appointments very efficiently. The environment of the barbershop is very spacious and cosy, something that can't always be taken for granted when it comes to the London city centre, and there is in-house coffee/tea/hot chocolate(brewed by the staff themselves!) served in the premises. Overall, a wonderful place I've been happy to place my trust- and my hairstyling in!”

Cinema at Campus West Welwyn Garden City
● ClosedThe Campus, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6BX, United Kingdom“This is an excellent local cinema showing a variety of relatively recent movies and occasional “live” performances by RoH etc. Staff are friendly and helpful, seats are reasonably comfortable, prices are competitive. There is a small screen which is quite intimate and a large screen which doubles as the main theatre for the venue. There’s a bar serving both alcohol and got drinks and limited snacks.”

Blacklock Restaurant Covent Garden
● Closed“Excellent experience. Came around 8pm, place was very busy, I suggest making a reservation. Ordered 2 beers which came in frozen glassware, the famous "all-in mixed chops", sweet potatoes, pigs head on toast (highly recommend!!!), Broccoli salad and the grand finale: grandma's cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious. A word about the service: we had the Italian man (really sorry for not remembering your name!) serving our table, and he was exceptional, props to you my guy.”

Hairy Hounds, Pet and Garden
● Closed654 Chigwell Road, Woodford Bridge, Woodford Green IG8 8AQ, United Kingdom“I took my Romanian rescue into the shop today for a haircut. He’s very nervous, won’t go near most people and hates closed spaces, so I usually clip him myself but I’m not very good at it!! The ladies were super patient with him and clearly spoiled him as he came out a much more confident dog than the one I dropped off! His haircut was absolutely perfect, I’ll be bringing him back on a regular basis!”

Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel
● Open“Where do I begin? This hotel exceeded my and my husbands expectations. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and I would even go as far to say opulent. When we arrived we were put in and ADA queen room. I didn’t think much of it, but my husband checked our original reservation and we had booked a superior king room with a park view. He went down to let them know about the mix up. Doreen helped to sort everything out and to make up for the error, comped us a suite. We have never felt so cared for in the hospitality realm as we did from Doreen and the rest of the staff at Kimpton Fitzroy. We will always always stay here when we visit London going forward as a result of her and her teams exceptional service. As far as we are concerned, this is the best hotel in London. I would also like to say that every staff member at this hotel was exceptional from the door man to concierge to management. They know what they’re doing here.”

The Montague on the Gardens
● Open“The room beds are super comfortable, the surrounding area is very quiet so I always had a very good rest. The rooms are small, but very practical, they have all you need for a enjoyable stay. The decoration and style in all the hotel is superb, a traditional English decor. The service was just outstanding, everyone were so attentive to make sure we had anything we needed and always willing to help. The location was a plus, very close to many restaurants and places to visit, and very accessible for taxis/uber. Staying in this hotel was the best decision I made to enjoy my trip to London, I recommend it 100%.”

I went with his recommendations which he then set up for me and ran through how to operate the equipment. I rang Bill with a couple of questions once I started using it all which he was happy to help with.”

High House Florist & Garden Centre
● Closed“Really excellent florist, we've been going to a slightly closer place for years now, but have been dissatisfied with their flowers. We thought we'd give this place a try, and we were blown away. We've have 2 bunches off of them now, mother's day and a birthday, and they are magnificent. They did exactly what we asked for and they have well outlasted the other florists flowers. We are so happy to have found this place and will not go anywhere else now.”

Holts Gems - Hatton Garden Jewellers
● Closed“I had a ring designed by Alicja and I could not recommend her enough. She is warm and approachable and very skilled at interpreting what a client wants. Holts have an impressive array of gems in the store but when it became clear that they didn’t have the precise gem size required, she also worked hard to try source them. Ultimately that proved unsuccessful and she proposed a couple of possible alternatives for the design. She kept me updated regularly through the process and the finished product is absolutely stunning. I could not be more pleased with the whole process.”

● Closed“Wonderful flavours and high quality sushi. We truly enjoyed the rolls, sushi and sashimi. Great experience overall.”
-
Nazuki Garden
● Closed“At the beginning when I saw the cucumber salad, I thought it looked very ordinary, but after I took a bite of those cucumber slices, I was amazed by the balance among the sourness of the vinegar, the aroma of the sesame oil, and the freshness of the cucumber. It does remind me of the early spring days in Japan. The salmon fillet was a little bit overcooked, but I have to say that they did a great job with the miso sauce on the salmon cause it did bring out the umami from the salmon. I was here alone and it was really perfect for a quiet moment for myself after a long day.”
-
Sticks'n'Sushi Covent Garden
● Closed“Had a perfect experience here. Staff were super friendly, ambience was great (massive fan of the dim lighting) and food & drink (sparkling lemonade is 10/10) was amazing. Came for my wife’s birthday and the complimentary dessert was really nice, flag on our table was a cool touch too. What impressed me was how accommodating the staff was, we requested non alcoholic soy sauce as we are Muslim and there was no fuss made, they ensured us they’d make sure there’s no alcohol in our food at all. We ordered the black cod and our server told us that they didn’t include it in the order as it has alcohol and offered to replace it with an alternative. Very considerate service, would definitely return and recommend to everyone I know!”
