Fresh look in Purley

“Sainsbury's is a great supermarket as a whole but you have to go to superstores like this one to get all the new stuff etc. As expected this store was huge with a nice selection of freshly baked good. The only thing I could not find was their own brand of potato cakes.”

“Great service and food. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Leanne, gave me a choice of tables and made me feel welcome. Then Irving my waiter introduced himself , he was friendly , polite and seemed to enjoy his job, went out of his way to make us feel special. The food was excellent, a really lovely evening with a good atmosphere. Must mention Lili who took our payment at the end , they were all really friendly, efficient I will definitely return.”

“I’ve been ordering from China Red for the last year and a half and their food never ceases to amaze me, it’s my go to takeaway when I have guests over and everyone compliments how tasty it is! Love the food as always, they are also accommodating as I’m the type to remove ingredients from certain dishes. I would absolutely recommend.”

“Great food, really nice folks, very clean cafe, spacious, good place to gather your thoughts. They take debit cards and prices are very good value and sometimes cheaper than other places. Food is similar or better or different in a good way, to other cafes, not the usual boring stuff. Much is home made and fresh. The lady there makes cakes, so I ordered a birthday cake, all beautifully decorated to order, at half the price people making cakes at home charge, and a fraction of what it costs in a large bakery chain for a birthday or celebration cake. I will be going there regularly from now on.”

“We had Goats curry and it was delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday evening, hence the not so quick service, but still good and very friendly. The restaurant itself is one big room and not the brightest lighting. Still works. We will definitely come back for another meal.”

“My first time back in the gym for a good few years. The receptionist was amazing and very helpful with my bombardment of questions. Even though I only used the pool for my first visit, I will deffo go back there for the sake of the pool, but have yet to try there gym area. Cant wait for my next visit.”

“Love the girls at Ego they are so friendly and nice and happy to help. I love getting my nails done from them and highly recommend them as they do a fantastic job every time. “I went to my local sainsburys to collect an argos item. I've never collected a delivery from there before so I wasn't sure what the procedure would be. The till queue was quite long being 1pm on a Monday so I asked a man called Joel what I needed to do. He was very polite and friendly and said he will assist me. Even though he was very busy he took the time to take my details and collected my item. I only had to wait a few minutes. Thank you Joel you made my day.”

“I had a great experience at Pizza Hut. Alfie and the staff were really welcoming and helpful especially with ordering of the violife pizza which was quite confusing for both sides. Great pizzas as well as the salad bar.”

“Great little local shop, recently refurbish and now has a much improved look and feel. Freshly baked bread and cakes each morning. Just don’t go in for a Lasagna tomato sauce as they don’t stick it.”

“Ignore all the one star reviews; I honestly don't know what any of them are talking about! We've been ordering from these guys for years now, and they've been nothing but excellent. Their jerk chicken is incredible, always comes hot and tastes healthy whilst also being filling. The delivery driver is always smiling and they're a great place to order from every time. I have never had a negative experience with them. Their ackee and saltfish is high quality, and every single one of their boneless box meals are fantastic (jerk, bbq, curry & shallow fried). I do think their macaroni and cheese, and their wings need some improvement in terms of portion sizes, but the rest is absolutely perfect.”
