“I used to be a regular drinker at the Pied Bull before moving away. I returned this weekend and was very pleased to see that the place is still as welcoming and friendly as ever, with fab staff, delicious food and plenty of drinks options. It's dog friendly so my two cockapoos enjoyed the visit too, with lots of fuss from the welcoming staff and even a treat or two! I will definitely be visiting again when I'm next in the area!”

“Popped in with 20 minutes to spare before show time, they were fully booked for football, but were happy for us to use a table and have some food before they had to give the table to the reservation. Food was quick and tasted great, good pint of cider and friendly staff!”

Place was packed and it seemed that we should have a reservation to make it easier for everyone (Sunday afternoon) but staff was brilliant and very helpful so they managed to get us a place to sit. Food was amazing, place have a great village pub vibe to it and people who work there are very professional. Prices are very decent. One of the best pubs we visited so far. Highly recommended if you are around.”

“We are still in lock down, so I didn't go in, so it's difficult to give a good review. But we ordered at the window (2 bacon baps with brown source and 2 teas), waited outside for 5 minutes (my wife was complaining about something or other) and other the baps were ready, we eat them outside. It was all very covid safe and the baps were lovely (to be honest, its difficult not to do a good bacon bap....). It will be interesting to go back when it fully reopens.”

“Staff are really friendly and the food is great. Beer garden is excellent in the summer. The location, right by the mill and the river just adds to the quaint vibe. The iconic bridge which is at least 500 years old really adds to the character of Farningham. This pub is amazing for families and we often take our kids who enjoy being outdoors. “Shine Food specialise in being a global grocery shop, selling foods from all around the world, although there is a strong Asian bias, or at least that was the sections I was drawn to. There is also an excellent American section. Located within the Orchards Shopping Centre, the unit is very well lit, bright and easy to navigate. There are no steps or issues with disabled access, but I would recommend those that need reading glasses to bring them, as prices are only on small price labels on the products and shelves. A recent change is that the product descriptions now carry a flag of the country of origin and an english translation of what the packaging says in case you cannot read it. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. With free samples of hot food being given away on their opening weekend. Most of the food sold here tends to be long life, but there are chiller cabinets and freezers too. If you fancy cooking something different for dinner or lunch, this is definately a great place to shop.”
