"New to the area and craved a proper fish and chips for lunch. I found The Sole Plaice via Google Maps and it had a great rating, so I took the plunge. I spoke to Dave who’s really friendly and welcoming, as well as explained that all the food is cooked fresh to order. The fish was fantastic, really flakey and the batter was nice and light. The chips were proper fish and chip shop chip’s which I was craving! Also spoke to a regular who explained that I can get busy in the evening but you can phone ahead ready for collection. I also tried a piece of fried chicken what was great, it had a nice spice to it and wasn’t greasy like some fried chicken can be. This is a gem and definitely worth a visit!"
