Mint Fusion
● Closed“Much more tasty than other Indian takeaways - manages to be hot, fragrant and spicy, but not just bluntly overpowered with garlic and chili peppers. These guys appear to really consider the taste of their dishes. Delivered five minutes early. Good sized portions. Very nice delivery person. Our new regular.”

Speedboat Bar
● Closed30 Rupert Street, London W1D 6DL, United Kingdom“I took two friends visiting London for lunch and we loved it! The food is super authentic, and the waitress who served us was not only nice but also very funny! The prawn ceviche was spectacular although very spicy! The noddles and sweetcorn fritters are a must on your order if you go. Highly recommended!”

Di Paolo
● Closed“Went back to Di Paolo's for a 'date night' with my fiancé. We love this place, the staff are so attentive, nothing is too much to ask and the food is outstanding. I had fish soup for a starter (which was so fresh and full of flavour) and he had scallops with black pudding. For main, I had the liver and bacon (which was cooked to perfection and served with a wonderfully creamy mash) and he chose the lamb cutlets, which were equally delicious. Every time we leave we can't wait to go back!”

Il Bebo’s
● Open“AMAZING SERVICE. All staff were polite, helpful and friendly. I have never had better customer service in my 30+ years of living in London. Staff even opened the door for us to leave, they treated my and my friends like Queens. They gave my friend a birthday desert and were very nice. The food was great, but not very authentic tasting. But big portions and very cheap. Great drinks. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.”

Alcedo Bistro & Bar
● Open“I visited this restaurant last week after finding it on Meerkat dining out. Check in advance what the offers are on this as it seems a little out of date. The owner/manager is a very happy chap who was very attentive. The decor was tasteful and rustic and the atmosphere was relaxed. Fresh lightly grilled bread was served which was a bonus. 3 of us all had a main meal and shared a bottle of wine. With the discount it came to about £50. All the food was fresh and tasty. Overall a very nice place and I am sure we will return in future.”

The Auld Shillelagh
● Open105 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0UD, United Kingdom“Decent bar, came here on the recommendation that it is the best Irish bar that isn’t in Ireland! Didn’t disappoint. Bit tight for space and the outdoor area closes kinda early and you’re just expected to find somewhere to stand in the tiny indoor area. Pints were great!”

VIP Break LTD
● Closed8 Spout Lane North, Heathrow, Staines-upon-thames[11] TW19 6BW, United Kingdom“Easy to book and update. Alerts sent in advance of trip. SMS and email alert nearing your arrival. The driver is super attentive - even calls and SMS beforehand. Comfortable, hassle-free, and safe journey to hotel. Why bother figuring out where you need to go with public transport or wait endlessly at cab queues that may not be the most reliable. My 1st time using and I would use them again for future trips.”

Cento Uno
● Closed“Lovely little Italian restaurant in Surbiton. Despite arriving early to try and get a table, the place has a really good vibe and not to mention good food. (Place was fully booked but accepted walk in entries if there was last minute availability) Menu consists of starters, pizza choices, pasta dishes, specials and desserts. There are gluten free pasta and pizza base available, these are not made on the premises and is made by a separate company. There is a small additional charge for this. Pizza is made fresh in their impressively large pizza oven located in the restaurant. We were sat at the bar area around this pizza oven and it was lovely to see the pizza masters doing their thing with stretching the pizza dough. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks too. The place was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Will return.”

Yoshi Sushi
● Open“Had a lunchtime hankering for Korean. I've passed this restaurant many times and thought that it was a sushi restaurant. Anyway the portions are huge easily satisfy two people per serving. Service was friendly and fast but dishes came out of sequence i.e. the main came first, followed by the starter and lastly the rice for the main arrived. The food was hot and the meat dishes were sizzling. The price was a little pricey but the experience was worth it. Looking forward to those Japanese fried oysters next visit.”
-
Dhamaka Restaurant
● Closed“Newly opened (July 22), and very welcome to Ickenham. Smart interior design. Menu with some unfamiliar items which are mostly just your curries under different names. Extensive vegetarian options. Standard bar. Food was really good. Service a little hesitant as team settle in. Prices low now because of opening promotion.”
-
Prima Fila
● Open“We went to this lovely lovey family owned and run restaurant for my mother’s birthday. The food was so tasty and the service was excellent. The food came so quickly and the staff put so much effort into each of the tables- making a specific effort for each party. Their prices are really reasonable and the food is to die for with brilliant portion sizes. They also made a big effort for birthdays and got the music going as we were one of the last tables still there and made us laugh!! My brother speaks broken Italian and they spoke back and helped him with some of the words like spoon! Can’t recommend enough and we will definitely be going back again.”
-
Pier1 Fish and Grill

Charcoal Edgware
● Open“Mmmm shashlik! Tender, spicy but not hot spicy......make your mouth water spicy. Charcoal chicken wings. Not the skinny flappy bit but,the shoulder and bicep. A tiny sprinkle of fresh lemon juice drizzled into the munchable, tender chicken. The starter dip things.... FANTASTIC Turkish naan. Light and fluffy with a good outside crunch, dipped into fresh proper humus. A garlicy yoghurt dip thing. Grilled onion quarters in a pomegranate sauce. A fresh and tangy salad with tomatoes, cos lettuce, cucumber, onion. Often Turkish salads that I've had have just been sprinkled with vinegar which, can make them slightly bland. Not so Charcoal's salad dressing. Imagine a charcoaled meat selection served on a bed of rice with a chips border and a sort of thin, round flatbread covering to keep the aroma and heat contained. Lamb shish in very small, succulent cubes on wooden skewers. The charcoal chicken wings, shashlik, thin strips of doner.thick, tender lamb chunks. Add a glass of Turkish red wine (or three). Maybe some Turkish tea with something sweet for those of us who like the slightest perspiration invoked by overeating. Yes, they do takeaway. Yes they have all sorts of fizzy drinks. But, they are not your usual Turkish takeaway. This place is well worth a sit-down for an hour or so and serious, professional eating. Opposite Lidl so maybe, if you do some shopping in Lidl - you could park there. Personally, I think it's worth taking the Northern line and walking from Edgware statation. A couple of outside tables for those that need a quick cigarette or an afternoon cup of coffee and a baklava. I was introduced by a friend who is Turkish and himself a retired restaurateur. In the 20 plus years I have known him - he has always steered me to places that are good quality and not overpriced. This isn't a place with fancy carpets and bow tie waiters. It's like a mum n dad place who care and concentrate on flavour.”
