“Very accommodating for a party of 5 including a toddler and a baby. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and all tasted fresh. I ordered the Grant Close which came with 2 American style pancakes with fruit, cream and maple syrup on top, on the side there was avocado, halloumi, spinach and American style scrambled egg. I had curly fries on the side which were really nice too. My cappuccino was nice and creamy too but if you are a big coffee fan you might prefer a different place for your caffeine fix in the area. I'd highly recommend coming here, the best cafe in the area.”

“The pictures really don't do it justice. I thought I had had "good Italian food" before but this is a different league. "Pineapple juice" never looked this glorious before, very fresh. That octopus! Wow, great texture, a satisfying bite but not at all rubbery, somehow with an almost charred flavour. Then that mash, with flavours something like garlic? Apple? I don't know and I'm not sure I want to know how the magic is done. Why spoil enjoyable mysteries? The risotto main is stunning, what a showpiece, also delicious. Took my time to enjoy it both visually and to dig out and eat the meats. All the flavours balanced. So light tasting, but so filling. (I am a little bit in love with that fish plate). ...but for desert somehow my stomach found space. Pear and ricotta cheesecake, maybe some subtle spice in there? Again wonderful textures, melting but also with an enjoyable chew. Lemoncello, made by them, gorgeous smell, clean refreshing taste. No sugary syrup. Very pleasantly surprised. I could never cook this good and I wouldn't dare try. My words don't do it justice either. I could go on. Best to just come back here. ASAP. Definitely, the best meal I have ever had. “I ate here a few years ago it was amazing. As I had good memories I revisited it again recently. This time I asked for a delivery. They said I’ll get my food in about 20 minutes, it only took them 10. And the food was outstanding again. So a huge huge huge thumbs up from me. 5 out of 5 The only thing you should think about before visiting is to bring cash as they only accept cash.”

“A brilliantly friendly pub, with very welcoming staff. We had the best time on Christmas Eve with a large group of adults and children in their beautiful garden. “I enjoyed a lovely lunch meal and service. Prices are great here for what you get I would say, certainly not too expensive. My Nephew ordered the Iskender Kebab, and I ordered the Chicken Beyti which came with rice and salad. We had a little more than half, and we were both full, although it was delicious, we couldn’t finish off. Service was fast, but nothing to really complain about. Initial wait time was good, the service and staff were not too pushy but did come and ask us if we needed any help from time to time.”

“We placed an order on Deliveroo and the restaurant was closed but it still went their to deliveroo. So as the order got delayed I gave the restaurant a call and the owner fulfilled our order. Unknowingly the restaurant was closed! So he literally turned on his wood fire oven to fulfil our order. I mean, this truly is dedication to providing high service level. The pizza was amazing. As a first time client I will definitely remember this and I will come back and recommend this place wholeheartedly!”

“Got there quite late close to closing time and they still accommodated us. None of the food was rushed and it all had FLAVOUR, something that Pelican State did not have! The sauces was on point. Only gripes was that the mixed starters could've had bigger and a tad more scallops and a metal crab cracker. Other than that, I was fully satisfied and I will definitely be going back. Very good for local seafood lovers.”

“The room is clean and everything else is neat, tidy too. I only write this review because of other low rated review that was written before and I was worry before I come BUT NOT anymore after I am staying right now on July 2022. Everything is great especially with this price. They even put microwave and refrigerator that I don't see it in my Marriott Hotel that I stayed last week. For your information, it is a little far from train station and NO air condition for American. Other than that I can't ask for more with this price that is around the same as HOSTELS and NEARER to London than other cheap motels, hotels with your own clean room.”
