TOZI Restaurant & Bar, Victoria
● Closed“Had a lovely dinner at Tozi, service was impeccable (probably one of the best we had in London) and food was really good. We ordered 6 plates for 2 people and I think it was the right quantity. The only dish we could skip in the future was the calamari- all others were really good. We also loved their pistachio tiramisu. Overall, strongly recommend Tozi as a nice dining spot near Victoria station. We ended up spending 65£ per person so it’s not cheap but it’s worth it.”

South & North Chinese Restaurant
● Open241 Greenwich High Road, London SE10 8NB, United Kingdom“Amazing, authentic Chinese food bursting with flavours and freshness. Probably the best Chinese resto I’ve ever tried in the UK. So underrated. Restaurants in Chinatown can’t compare. The meal I had with my husband was so comforting. The sweet corn soup was perfect and not diluted like most soups from Chinese takeaways. The salt and pepper squid was perfectly battered and packed with a symphony of spices. The Szechuan chicken was the main event. The combo of onions, peppercorns and dried chillies on top was show-stopping. The steamed rice was great, and everything went well with Tsingtao beer and oolong tea. Service was good as well. The waitresses were so attentive and polite. We will definitely be back, and we’ll bring our friends with us!”

Branded Sevenoaks
● Open“I cannot recommend Branded more! The atmosphere as you walk in, is friendly but one that makes you feel like you are in the best hands! Mustafa (apologies if I spelt that wrong) was incredible, it was almost as if he knew telepathically when we needed something and he was there, attentive and jovial. And I haven't even started on the food. The food was exactly what I expected, cooked to perfection! All the produce was high quality and worth every penny. I will definitely be going back soon!!!”

Tandoori Lounge
● Closed“The food is amazing. We booked this as a last resort as we couldn't book anywhere....we were not disappointed. If you like proper punjabi food (not the typical indian places that are actually owned by people other than people from India) then this is the place to go.”

Anjanaas
● Closed“Anjanaas never disappoints. Have been ordering takeaway from them since I discovered them on UberEats last year and have been very loyal ever since. I went to dine-in for the first time and the staff were attentive and very friendly, the music added great atmosphere as well. As a vegetarian, I love all of their veg dishes as the flavours and portions are great. The mango juice was also one of the best mango juices I’ve had in my life. I always recommend this lovely restaurant to friends & family :)”

Apna Indian Cuisine
● Closed“We love Apna! This is our go-to takeaway. We've tried most dishes on the "modern classics" menu and have enjoyed each one, but our favourite is the Gurkha's Revenge (lamb) and Pista Malai (chicken). They are always so friendly on the phone as well. I wish it was a restaurant because I would go in a flash. Thank you Apna team for consistently wonderful food!”

The Cardamom Room
● Closed“Visited this evening for the first time with my husband and was pleased with the first impressions and ambience of the restaurant. We were seated and given clean, quality menus. We ordered a pina colada, ginger ale and 2 diet cokes. Regular cokes were brought out in error and were quickly substituted. The seating was comfortable and we were brought out a small table lamp which was a novel touch. We ordered aloo tikki for starters, which took a tad on the longer side to come out, but no big deal. Well presented and tasty. Mains we ordered, chicken tikka, handi murgh, butter naan, plain and saffron rice. The bread was soft and rice fluffy. Chicken tikka was cooked just right, nicely flavoured. Handi murgh was also good, particularly because I prefer thigh meat. The pina colada was really tasty, I would have preferred a piece of fresh pineapple as the garnish rather than the dried one personally. For dessert we wanted the almond kheer, but it was sadly finished, so we had the pistachio creme brulee and the date sponge with chai ice cream. The brulee was really good and I'd recommend it. The sponge was a bit dense for me, but the ice cream was great. We had this with karak chai, which was lovely. I felt all portion sizes were spot on. If you fancy a nice sit down meal where the service is excellent, I recommend trying The Cardamom Room. The service was top throughout our sitting. Regularly clearing dishes, wiping the table and checking we were happy without being intrusive.”

The Coffee Lovers fl Cafe
● Open“Lovely Moroccan pancakes served sweet with honey or savory with falafel and houmous. The coffee is good and the teas are, of course, fantastic. Not usually too busy so it's possible to get a table most of the time. The owners are very friendly. Definitely the best brunch/lunch place in the area. Worth following it up with a pastry from Delicious (Brazilian bakery).”

The Blacksmiths Arms
● Closed“I had a lovely pub dinner here with my husband. Everything from the starter, to the main course and dessert was sumptuous. I didn’t expect the Salt and Pepper Squid Salad to be so flavourful. It was a delightful surprise. The Beer-Battered Fish and Chips was superb. Really fresh, light and not oily at all. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was still warm when it was served, and the vanilla ice cream that went with it had actual vanilla beans in it. So lush. The restaurant had a cosy ambience and was squeaky clean as well. The servers were all wearing masks and gloves too. Very good COVID safety protocols. I can say that it’s one of the best pubs I’ve been to. I’ll definitely visit again.”
-
The Camberwell Arms
● Open“The Camberwell Arms isn’t just a dining experience, it is a pilgrimage for those that cherish the Sunday lunch tradition. One of the best meals I’ve had and the perfect place for a self date after a long busy week. Find yourself a seat at the bar, get yourself the steak and wash it down with the perfect old fashioned cocktail. It is a therapy session that will stay in your mind for a very long time. The staff are a delight and really make you feel at home. Be sure to book to avoid the Sunday food fomo.”
