“I’ve walked past this pub for many years but had never visited until today. To be honest its name and proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral put me off, as I wrongly assumed that it was a tourist place. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A much bigger space downstairs although closed on a quiet January afternoon. Loved the huge wooden balustrades that dominate the street level bar area. A Greene King pub but I was happy to find Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Even a garden out back - a rarity in The City of London. A hidden gem in plain sight!”

“Delicious pizzas! I'm not really a pizza lover but I loved the pizza here! The tuna pizza was very tasty and my mum loved the veg roma. Far better than Pizza Hut. I would highly recommend.”

“The staff were really helpful, the food was lovely and the rooms were very clean. We really enjoyed our stay, coming back to the hotel after a long day of walking and being sure we were going to have a nice dinner was something to look forwards to at the end of the day. Wouldn't hesitate at all to come back.”

“Before boarding a long-journey train, I decided to try Prezzo with my family as it was conveniently located within the train station. We were seated promptly and the waiters accomodated for extra additions who joined us slightly later. Do not visit if you're in too much of a hurry as it does take approximately 15 minutes for the pizzas to be made! That said, we did have time to spare and really enjoyed the food. The total bill was quite expensive, but I guess that's to be expected at any eatery within train stations.”

“Been here twice for breakfast...restaurant is very clean service excellent & staff very attentive. Food is really good & great value! Coffee is great too. If stay in the Gloucester Road area worth a visit and better option than any other on the street. Great job guys keep it up!!!”

“I came to Takumi restaurant with friends recently and I have to say this restaurant is deinitely an upmarket version of an Izakaya in Japan, and although Izakayas are usually cheaper in Japan where you can order finger food such skewers, small bites and drink beer, you can definitely get the experience here as well as order mains but in a more classy atmosphere. The small dishes we ordered are really delicious, and the mains hit the spot not being too much or too little, and the sushi that we ordered last was full of flavour that I admit one of the pieces did taste like I was in Japan, and I have been to Japan a few times. Delicious food that is worth trying, maybe a little bit on the expensive side, but definitely enjoyed it.”

“4.5 is the marks. I don’t think they serve the best steak of the kind but acceptable one with this price range. Popcorn is free serving. Very good service with staff going around to see what customers needed. I like the desert, very lovely and not common, which add 0.5 marks for that.”

“I was skeptical because of previous reviews however, the food was excellent and service was friendly. We walked in to collect our order and was waiting a few minutes as they had not heard us walk through the door and was busy in the kitchen. The gentleman was extremely polite and apologetic and offered us some extra prawn crackers. Delivery times I cannot vouch for but I can honestly say even the best restaurants have let me down with delivery in the past. Going by the food quality, portion size and very friendly staff, this will be my regular.”

“Again, A great dinning experience with tremendous food. One of the best karachi Biryani’s I’ve ever had and the curries are always exploding with flavour. I’ve been here multiple times, never get tired of their wonderful food. Portion sizes are fairly generous. Highly recommend, it does get busy in there, if you can sit upstairs as there is more space.”

“Delicious food, it arrived within half an hour too!!! And thank you for sending such a polite delivery driver! One of our pizzas had been squashed a little bit and he offered to take it back to the store for a fresh one, which I politely declined”

“Took my boys to football, decided to order and collect pizza instead of having one delivered home from our normal one, which is usually great. I was anxious of trying a new dominos, but I shouldn’t have worried, you can see them making the pizza very nicely and their predicted timing was accurate too. Handed over to us with a smile, collected and the boys ate it all in a blink of an eye. Will buy from again. Very clean and lovely! Only gripe, parking for collection wasn’t great, I feared I might get a parking ticket to go with my yummy pizza!”

“We came here just expecting a basic meal but the staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the food was seriously amazing. I had a candle at our table, that I had purchased, and one of the staff actually offered to light it for me which was really sweet. So we had a nice candle lit meal and the waitress was brilliant and attentive, friendly and smiling, happy to assist. It was just brilliant.”
