"What a terrible manager., hope the upper management take a view of the video! 3 Gentlemen walk in & instead of welcoming us in asking us for food or drinks to his empty establishment, he asked if we had made reservations in a hostile and aggressive manner? We ordered drinks from the very friendly barman (Very cool guy)., top marks to him! Evening continues, we walk up too some ladies have a conversation and he threatens to have us kicked out and that he'll be watching us., found out from the pleasant young ladies 1 is his wife!!! Asked for his name he told me to "I don't have to give it" his wife very lovely happily continued to talk to us!!! The manager though could use some serious people skills..."
"HORRENDOUS. Christmas party - firstly the environment does not in any way lend itself to a sit-down meal, noisy, chaotic and dirty - like a university sports bar. Secondly the service was absolutely atrocious, food around 1.5 hours later than planned, served at such a slow pace that it was cold. The main meal was disgusting - inedible. Not worth the money and definitely would never go here again"
"Had an ok karaoke time but be prepared for extremely rude staff. My friend booked the place for her birthday and brought two cakes. They “did us a favor” saying we would have to pay £50 to bring a cake in, forced her to sign paper work to bring it in, and claimed we could only bring one cake and not two so literally one cake got wasted. When leaving we asked for help to pack the cake. Not only the staff did not help us, but he stared at us while we were trying to pack it and HE WAS LAUGHING. Accepting that it was not exactly his job to help but we are customers after all. Sorry but I’m expecting some respect. Apparently he had also behaved as if he was doing a favor to my friend to make her the cocktail she ordered twice. PLS GET THIS GUY FIRED if you want to keep this place open and running."
"We went here to celebrate a friend getting married and the service is completely hit and miss. Most of the venue was taken over by a corporate event. We were seated in a dark corner before asking to be moved to a brighter spot. They attempted to force us to order drinks to the table via the QR code, which we refused to do because of the extortionate service charge. Prices on the QR menu were different to prices at the bar. The corporate group kindly offered to let us use the karaoke room for our celebration despite it being part of their package and again, the staff opened up the room very begrudgingly and rather than show us how to use it, left us to it. A male bartender (short, covered in tattoos, for reference) came to the room 30 minutes later after multiple requests for help and proceeded to have a massive go at us for having touched the kit in an attempt to get the karaoke going. It's been a while since I've encountered someone so clearly on a power trip and completely lacking basic skills in customer service. No surprise to find so many reviews complaining about the customer service at this place. Shame as it has potential but I predict it won't be there for much longer."
"I went for the 90s brunch which takes place on Sundays. The venue is spacious and the ascetics are well thought out. However the quality of the food was a bit lack luster. I chose the cheese burger which was actually not bad. The fries were crisp and the vegetable dumplings were alright (not steamed; I believe they were deep fried). I chose the brownie for dessert and it was actually not great at all. The ice cream was like eating frozen skimmed milk. There was absolutely nothing appealing about it at all. The brownie wasn't any better (sorry to say). I definitely could have made a better quality dessert than what I received. I paid for the early bird price (£35). understand that might be a steal for a three course menu. However I value the quality of my food and this menu definitely let me down. I love the venue but not the food. Also, I wouldn't pay more than the early bird price foe the experience. On the upside the 45mjns of bottomless drinks wasn't bad at all. I was able to get a good amount of drinks in but I felt like they could have given me one more drink. Once your time is up you have the option to order drinks from the menu or a full pitcher. Over all the experience was "ok" but I wouldn't make this a regular brunch experience."
