Queen’s Head
“Big thank you to Ellie and all the staff for giving us such a great time at the Xmas meal laid on for the elders last night. And a special mention for the lovely decorations.”
The Chequers
“Great atmosphere, best kebab available on the car park”
Esq Bar and Grill
“Amazing food! Portions are big. We were served by Grace. She was lovely and so friendly. The atmosphere was just a vibe. Good food, good music. Now for the constructive criticism. I booked for a friend's birthday and chose a Friday as it was ladies night. We did not receive a welcome drink as specified on their website and social media. The mains came far too quickly as we had literally just started tucking into starters before being overwhelmed with mains which could not fit on the table with the starters. The ladies serving us needs to be more knowledgeable of the menu as everything we asked they couldn't answer. They are all friendly and welcoming but could be more experienced which can be fixed with a little training. Maybe a menu tasting for the stuff so they are prepared and more confident to answer any questions customers may have. All in all, its a great find. Defo coming back! Nice to see a great place and its black owned!!”
Uffizzi
“We had a meal to celebrate a special birthday. It was brilliant, lovely food, great service, relaxed atmosphere, plus little extras which made the birthday very special for us and our guests.”
The White Bear
“First time here and we were really impressed. A great menu with some unusual options and a lot of variety. The portion sizes were very generous and everything we ordered tasted great. They also had Mogo which you usually only find in authentic Indian cuisine.”
Cintias Cafe Bar
“Lovely little local cafe, seamed very clean and new. I had Halal Breakfast - Chicken sausage, turkey bacon, eggs, hash brown, toast and beans. All made fresh. Staff were friendly food was made fairly quickly. Will be returning”
The Anchor
“A really excellent meal. The stand out dishes were our starters - beef carpaccio which was excellent and an equally good trout in Thai green curry. So good in fact that I forgot to take photos and just ate them instead! Did remember to take pics of the main course though.”
The Running Mare.
“This was my favorite pub. We spent a great deal of time and money there. Good friends made, both staff and locals. Unfortunately, the manager, has no class and a bad attitude. The Runner is on suspension, for me, for 60 days. If it ever happens again, I won’t spend another £ there. Reply - I am not about to Dox anybody. We love the food, atmosphere and friendships. The absolute majority of your staff is excellent. A little bit of tact goes a long way though, as opposed to a “Shoosh”. You should indeed have a conversation with managers about how they deal with people, especially some that drop 500 quid a month. Thanks, Ollie, Very Best. Update - The Running Mare has definitely upped their game. Give credit where credit is due. This is a wonderful place where You will find kind and interesting people. The service and food is excellent. I’m glad. I could post a new review 5/5. Very Best, Ed”
Haven Bistro & Bar
“I was there yesterday at a lunch party for my uncle and Aunt’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The food and the service was really wonderful and a credit to the Haven. The food was beautifully presented and served hot. The room was elegantly decorated for 25 guests seated at a long table. Nothing was too much for the staff, I was so impressed. With everything thank you so much for making it such a special day.”
Wings Restaurant
“Expensive but delicious, sweet and sour prawn balls and vegetarian hor devours. Only suggestion is to have slightly larger steam holes as it was a bit steamed by the time it arrived. Will visit again for delivery order, ordered on Google Just Eat. Due to price though wouldn't be too often.”
Wimpy
“Quiet in there, with not much going on, but the staff and their service were excellent. Really friendly and welcoming.”
The Rising Sun Inn
“We moved in up the road and finally got a chance to visit on mother's Day. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the service was amazing and so was the food! Check out the pic of dessert! Was to die for. We had mixed she's from 9-82yrs and all raved about it. We loved it so much we've booked again for Easter Sunday!”
The Old Paparazzi
“Fantastic food prepared by Chef Alex. A husband and wife owned concern that offers a unique dining experience. What helps is that there is local car parking which only helps expedite your taste buds. Do not delay your visit, aided by a white table cloth environment. CHEERS!”
Grumbles
“We decided to try Grumbles as we wanted a relaxed quiet environment. Grumbles matched that need; we were sitting downstairs. The food, drinks and service were excellent. We shared the prawns & avocado, steak each (I tried the Grumbles steak) followed by sorbet and sticky date pudding (with custard!). If we're back in the area would certainly look to book again. NOTE: not an extnsive menu, but to me this means the kitchen is very good at what they do produce.”
Hillside cafe
“Wonderful food and amazing ambiance! Very good customer service as well! Will definitely visit again.”
The Old Crown
“Great local pub , cheap drinks and good atmosphere. 1st time visit but would visit again”
The Harrow Inn
“I visited a few weeks ago with family and friends and was blown away by the taste of the food! Generous portions and full of flavour! The staff are friendly and lovely to speak to. Very clean and beautiful interior. I highly recommend a visit here”
The Grey Horse
“Staff always so friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced and good food. It's a small family run pub so you really feel cosy and looked after. Tracey is amazing and Tony the Landlord is just so affable and really ensures your wellbeing and comfort. Beer garden is lovely in summer and being closed off, it is great for kids! Will be visiting this little gem a lot!”
The White Horse
“My favourite roast in the area! We visited the pub again this Sunday and it was as good as usual. We didn't make a reservation and so we had to wait for 10-15min for a table. However, staff were very friendly and promptly accommodate our request. The roast was delicious, very generous size and very short wait to have the food brought to the table. Prices are very reasonable.”
The Windmill
“Love it there very happy staff and good food. Nice beers”
Lavin's Bar
“Wonderful little Irish bar, great friendly bar staff and the Guinness isn't bad either. Will definitely return”
The Railway Teddington
“We were here for the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint . Best Yorkshire pudding we’ve ever tasted - fluffy, bouncy and crispy around the edges - perfection. Staff was lovely and accommodating, creating a cosy and lively atmosphere.”
The Kings Arms
“Welcomed us on newcastles carabao cup final. Chris the assistant manager took us under his wing and made sure we accomadated through out the game. 2 lads got a Sundays roach and said it was more than what they expected. Well done and thank you. Recommend highly all staff very friendly”
Power's Bar
“Top old skool boozer with lovely beer , lovely people, great craic & 4 big screens so you can watch the GAA, Football & racing from all angles ...small but perfectly formed”
The Pig & Whistle
“Nice family pub. Big meals, usual beers, sport on TVs.”
East Putney Tavern
“What a fantastic little pub. A short walk from East Putney tube station, it's a sprawling pub over 3 levels with a beer garden out the back. The staff were wonderful: very friendly, cheerful and helpful and happy to chat. The pub was very clean and tidy with lots of seating Including some very comfortable looking sofas. And if you're interested, they show the six nations rugby. I know I don't mention food very much, but the beef brisket nuggets with caper mayo was absolutely brilliant. The Guinness was excellent as was the Wimbledon Brewery's Copper Leaf. I usually take pics of the ales/bitters on offer to indicate their availability, but I forgot to do that have - they sell ales/bitters.”
The Colton Arms
“Highly recommend The Colton Arms. Enjoyed a brilliant night at this iconic old pub. Peter the manager went above and beyond to fit us in for dinner on a very busy, fun filled Trivia night. The fish and chips was simply the best I had during my London stay and the drinks flowed freely!!This old establishment has a cosy atmosphere lots of character, in a great location and I can’t thank Peter and his staff enough for their warmth and friendly approach. ♥️”
The Plough, East Sheen
“Very lovely staff, dog friendly and a nice atmosphere. Emma was serving us, the pub was completely booked up/ reserved however she made room for us by pushing tables together which we all appreciated for us to have afternoon lunch together.”
