The Corner Pin
“Had a great time in a real old school community based pub… was welcomed and made to feel totally at ease. Great Guinness and cheaper than anywhere else we tried along Garrett Lane.”
The Railway
“From an old bloke's point of view this is an old fashioned pub that reminds me of some happy times of a misspent yout. Proper bar, proper seats, lovely staff, good, wholesome food. Exceptional fish'n'chips. Its right next to Streatham Common railway station and I'd thoroughly recommend it.”
The Grand Junction Arms
“Amazing family Sunday well spent on our second return. Fairly busy, (as with all the best places to have a roast!) however staff very attentive and welcoming. Portions fit for a king from starters to puddings. Christmas arrived early this year!”
The Askew Public House
“Great local boozer. Great service and nice beer. Friendly atmosphere. The food is delicious. Good pub for watching football. Top notch”
The Kings Head
“Lovely, friendly, old fashioned back street boozer - not many in this area like it. Staff and regulars welcoming and chatty. Good selection of Gin!! Highly recommend.”
The Champion
“Pub with a lot to offer and with great staff. You can be in the hustle and of pub activity or street-side activity on the main floor, or in a cozy nook downstairs in the Mercury Lounge or beer garden. Will have to go back to try the rhubarb cider as it was all out. Cheers!”
Crown & Sceptre
“After taking a break from this pub due to the previous management, I visited last night after work and was very impressed with the ambiance, food and great Guiness. This really in pub terms the equivalence of an Oasis. It's like an English country pub, but in Croydon. The vibe is relaxed with enough people to create a good atmosphere, without the craziness of other Croydon pubs. To eat, the had the stew which at £8.50 was amazing value, the main menu is pizza. To drink we had Guiness which was excellent, the wine selection is very good as well. The service was excellent, both efficient and friendly. The other customers, who seemed to be locals, were friendly and welcoming, but not imposing so we could enjoy our drinks and food at our table, and when going to the bar talk and meet other locals. Highly recommended for those who like pubs as pubs, not flashy wine bars, or sports bars, great food and drink, served well by friendly people with a local vibe, but not cliquey. For sure, we will be visiting again,”
Man on the Moon

The Coach & Horses
“Had a fantastic dinner with one of the best fish & chips I had. My mate had a top-notch burger. I had the Moving Mountains veggie burger myself last time. Unmissable. Great variety of ales and love music on Fridays. I mean, what more can you ask for?”
The Flowerpot Walthamstow
“I have to comment upon this cosy warm family run local. Large sports screen with the viewing of our queen upon show. A few locals and the snooker table in prime position. Good solid seats with cosy atmosphere. All facilities and guidelines are in place. On my request for an uncommon drink; the young man serving the customers moved right into action by finding a knowledgeable elder who knew of my drink request and was swift to teach the young man serving exactly how it is made to perfection. I was very impressed and delighted by the customer care and thought given toward my request. That made my first visit to this establishment very rewarding and we shall go there again with pleasure. Well done Flower Pot Team....blessedness”
The Cricketers

Catford Constitutional Club
“Was unsure if it could live up to the old constitutional but me & my husband were very delighted to see it has. Great new addition to Catford high street. Compliments to the chef, we came this weekend for a roast. One of the best we’ve tasted in all out 47 years. Staff are very welcoming and polite. The young lady who served our food was very lovely, nothing we asked for was too much trouble for her although she was very busy getting peoples food out to tables alone on a busy Sunday rush so thank you to you. This will now be a new local. Thanks guys.”
