“This shop not only has vintage boots made in England the experience shopping there was amazing. You tell them what you are looking for and they come back with amazing boots. Like they got into the deepest recess of your mind and found not what you said but what you didn’t know existed. 3 of us walked in with only 1 wanting a pair and 3 of us left with a pair and 1 with 2 pairs. “UPDATE: I now feel compelled to write here that Myles has arranged an effective resolution to this situation which has left me entirely satisfied with the customer service of Richard James, which I judge to be remarkable in having gone above and beyond the call of duty in order to make amends here. Ordered a few things in their sale only to learn a week later that none of it was stocked in London. Ended up waiting nearly a month for my order to arrive from New York. They still neglected to refund even my postage despite my asking. In fact, when I phoned their 'customer care' line the gentleman I spoke to seemed as if he could not care less about the inconvenience. I definitly will not be shopping here again.”

Since the start of the year I have become acquainted with the company after venturing into the realms of high quality footwear and have now bought several pairs of their shoes; the company has a very family feel, with staff taking real pride in what is a wonderful quality fully English made shoe. “Just starting a new job and was in search for some quality England made shoes. I made the right choice going into Cheaney. The difference in buying something online vs buying in store is the interaction and the experience from the latter! Marta at the shop showed me how to put on a pair of Chelsea boots properly - very useful advice indeed! I ended up buying a pair of black monk shoes for work, which got delivered to me and they are simply perfect! Will go back for the boots at some point. “I've used New and Lingwood for years and usually attend the shop for suits and other bits however I ordered a shirt online and made the error of picking a linen one by accident. When i returned the package i did so using Royal Mail and didn't add tracking. Obviously Royal Mail lost the package. After following up with New & Lingwood they spend a week or so looking for it and Royal Mail said it was lost. New and Lingwood have returned to me with a Credit Memo and are honouring the refund anyway. A small gesture however I think it show's how they think of their customers. Very pleased to say I will continue to shop there thanks to Joel and his team (and the beautiful clothes).”
