“I had expected the Petersham to be a bit staid, but our Christmas lunch surprised on the upside! Even playful in parts, the meal was always very good quality. Clearly, they have a talented kitchen team. Service was well paced and friendly, and the 'White Christmas' joke was fun!”

“I took my partner here for afternoon tea on his birthday. We had an excellent time. The staff - Roxanne and Chris - went out of their way to welcome us and to make the experience feel special. The afternoon tea itself was fantastic with beautiful freshly prepared sandwiches and fresh warm scones (baked in-house). Delicious food with a good gluten free menu and gluten free flags on the GF plates so you know they are actually gluten free :) They staff were very friendly and were wearing masks to keep people safe which was very nice to see. “It's nice to go to a restaurant where they fill up your water glass when you're close to finishing and place your serviette on your lap. The Dragon Inn is on the prices side compared to other Chinese restaurants but you get what you pay for and the food is absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend and to book for popular evenings (Friday night etc) we ordered so many delicious starters we didn't get to a main course. Will try again next time.”

“Back again. Was here in April last year and this was our go to pub when we came back. Had a lovely pork belly and apple squeak with a very tasty roast cabbage quarter. Maybe one day we can make this our everyday local.”

“Really fabulous food and service. We live opposite, and avoided this place for food (the beer has always been great) for ages. The food and service is now top gastro-pub standard. Chicken liver parfait with pickled watermelon (yes, pickled) is sublime. As is the wild mushrooms with Stilton on toast, topped with a runny-yolk duck egg. Mmmmm Sunday roast is, for me, all about very pink beef and sticky proper gravy (chef told me he makes his by roasting a whole carcass for 24 hours then stewing it for a further 12 hrs. So, a change in management, and/or chef, and this place is transformed. This will be our go-to for a loooong time. Keep up the great work folks!!!”

“We’ve lived in Richmond a long time and seen this pub under many different types of management. It has finally made it back into our must stop for a pint list. I’m a pub manager by trade so am enormously fussy about how clean the beer lines are, this pub is spot on. The staff only make it better. Thank you Jake for an enjoyable afternoon! Good products, great service, clean lines. What more could you want! I will definitely be coming back.”

“Veganuary! Very slay. Absolutely love their vegan sausage rolls here, have been getting them for a long time and will for many years to come (god willing), and great hot choc. Perfect place for lunch and a coffee and extremely charming being nestled within one of the arches of the oldest bridge in London‼️ next to the beautiful Richmond riverside. Has an INCRED outdoor seating area which is absolutely stunning in all seasons - leafy and sunny in the shade in summer, beautiful orangy hues in the autumn, frosty and wintery in the winter…. They sometimes have fun activities in this space, like dancing on new years! (Was thoroughly disappointed I didn’t go to this one). Lovely spot for dogs and kids and very friendly staff! Hot tip - Love to come here to start off a walk down the Thames path to Chiswick bridge and back again. Lovely to sit by the edge of the wall and watch the people and boats go past…. Could sit here for hours (have done!) ☺️”

“New Years Eve afternoon. Party of six looking for somewhere suitable. Was greeted at One Kew Road by a lovely helpful lad, soon joined by Rachel. Rachel is a true gem. Her service was exceptional. We were so impressed how relaxed and capable she was. She gave us all an afternoon to remember. Compliments to the chef, food fantastic, good wines and beer selection. We shall all be back. “Dropped of a friend from Australia. Her family always use this hotel when visiting England so the hotel must be doing something right. Took luggage to her room which was a large well appointed suite. The food on offer has always been good with a great menu choices.”

The cafe is very historic too, try their greenhouse room in winter or enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the seats provided outside. Their full English breakfast is a must try, so is their ice tea in the summer”
