“I have lived in Croydon my whole life and had never stepped foot in this pub until yesterday, and boy have I been missing out! The pub has an entire vegan menu which is incredible and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend visiting and look forward to many more visits in future. Just one minor suggestion, having some vegan dessert options on your menu would save me a trip to the next door pub for my sweet fix :) otherwise, loved this place and will definitely be back! :)”

“Hot desk friday at the store. Bottomless coffee and snacks :) I liked sharing the space with other people working out there. In these times of working from home its nice to take a break from home and go sit and work from cafe. I am glad Croydon has such place for us.”

“How did I miss this place inspite of this amazing place being just 20 mins drive from home??? Wow!!! Just loved their burgers- my kids were all over it. I enjoyed the chicken with sesame seeds- finger licking delicious. The ambiance was fabulous- it gives the real American feel and the portion sizes were great too. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The only downside is that the service was super slow and some of the items that were ordered came quite late - they can definitely do with a bit more faster service. The taste of the food , friendly staff and the ambiance definitely deserves a 5 star”

“Popped in here for a drink today, Sunday lunchtime, and after a couple of drinks fancied some food. We had one the THE best tasting roasts I’ve had in a long time from their new BBQ food truck in the beer garden (The Dragon Flame). The options were beef & pork (we both had beef) and both come with veg, roasts potatoes, Yorkshire’s and enough delicious gravy to sink a ship. Well priced for the quality and the portion size. Amazing roast, we’ll be back!!”

“I was impressed about the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere. I saw reviews about the music being too loud or but there was nothing like that when we got there. We had tripe soup, turkey soup, chicken with polenta, pizza, and papanași and I can say all of them were amazing. Would definitely go again.”

“This is local to us and we are happy to make the short 10 minute walk here. Proper old school pub. Loads of choice and really great prices! Olly the owner is an absolute gent. The locals are all very friendly and good fun also. Max the dog loves scratches and treats! There is a table and a bench outside, which get the sun really well too. Do drop by.”

“Croydon's best-kept secret. Emma and her staff make this traditional Victorian street-corner boozer a hugely welcoming place to come. The front bar is tailor-made for conversation but there's a few nooks and crannies if you just fancy a quiet drink. The beer garden may be under the flyover but it's well-maintained and comes into its own in the summer. The best pint of London Pride for many miles and high-quality Italian-style pub grub too. Go on, you know you want to.”

“I have been a semi-regular in The Ship for about 5 years now and every time I've been in there, I've had a great time. The managers Jackie and Mark are amazing, as are all the staff there. The music is heavy, the drinks have always been reasonably priced and the regulars are always fun to hang out with. Never a dull moment in The Ship and never had a problem there before. 10/10 venue. May it never change!”

“After taking a break from this pub due to the previous management, I visited last night after work and was very impressed with the ambiance, food and great Guiness. This really in pub terms the equivalence of an Oasis. It's like an English country pub, but in Croydon. The vibe is relaxed with enough people to create a good atmosphere, without the craziness of other Croydon pubs. To eat, the had the stew which at £8.50 was amazing value, the main menu is pizza. To drink we had Guiness which was excellent, the wine selection is very good as well. The service was excellent, both efficient and friendly. The other customers, who seemed to be locals, were friendly and welcoming, but not imposing so we could enjoy our drinks and food at our table, and when going to the bar talk and meet other locals. Highly recommended for those who like pubs as pubs, not flashy wine bars, or sports bars, great food and drink, served well by friendly people with a local vibe, but not cliquey. For sure, we will be visiting again,”

“We hired the cafe for my Mum's 70th birthday and it was the perfect venue. The staff went over and beyond to accommodate us. The buffet was amazing with both hot and cold food and catered for a gluten free guest. The mixture of outdoor and indoor space meant young ones could run around without getting in the way of older ones. The beautiful surroundings outside and art on the walls inside made it aesthetically wonderful too. The carparking and accessible toilet were also convenient. Thanks so much to the Coach House Cafe for a memorable evening.”
