"Really like this place and have just started going regularly. The 2 meals for £12.00 is really good value but the rest of the food is also reasonably priced and quite extensive. It is spacious and they will always find a table for you. It is very clean and the service is swift. There is a large function room at the back which is obviously available for private hire. Shows sports matches on large screens."

"Nice pub with loads of table to choose. Does show cricket match here. Very well managed table facility. Does have a back huge hall space for big group party. Rate wise - drinks and food are reasonable. Very close to public transport. Have some parking spaces outside but have to pay. Overall nice and will visit again!!"
"Absolutely love coming to The Crown and Pepper, food is so cheap and cheery , especially when you get the 2 meals for £10. Staff are friendly and it’s been refurbished with a lovely Buddha bar and incredible bathrooms . Food has always been to a good standard, the portion sizes are great and service is so fast. I always order the Singapore noodles and salt and pepper tilapia , however the lamb curry and black bean crispy noodles are also delicious . Seen a few complaints about how the food is too spicy now… how about asking the chef for no chilli ? Perhaps that will solve that dilemma . Overall, thoroughly enjoy coming here , I’ve been over 10 times and will continue coming ."
