“I'm so glad this cafe is open again after 2 years closed under COVID. Maria is front of house has a big smile to greet you, Marco the chef came out after the breakfast was finished to check all ok and chat. I had the full English breakfast (a really full plate) with an americano coffee, food was fresh and well cooked, coffee was good and strong with the bill coming to £10, my opinion good value these days. Marco tells me he's open in the morning from 8am but can't get an electrician for a couple of months yet to do an illuminated sign for the cafe front.”

“Wonderful, bright little Cafe with Friendly Staff. Prices are very fair and the cheese and ham toasties are incredible! They do lovely salads and staff are always happy to accommodate food requests and changes if they can. Great to go to after a visit to the nearby Life Centre. There can be a small wait as they're popular with the dinner time rush via telephone orders, but never waited more than 15 minutes when eating in.”

“Excellent pub underneath North Western station. Very good selection of cask ales and also a wide selection of canned beers to choose from. Quite a lot of railway mememorabilia on display. Has to be visited when in the area.”

“I went to the pub after a funeral. The land lord and lady were very welcoming and friendly, the pub was small but clean, the food was home made potato pie with either pickled red cabbage or beetroot there was also a good mix of sandwiches. You could have either soft drinks or alcohol.”

“What a great little place. The staff are all lovely and friendly. The food is great and the atmosphere is lovely too. There's a bit where kids can play if you need that. It's not too pricey at all and the food is absolutely delicious. There's a really great menu too. We just had sandwiches, a club and a fish finger butty. This was all great. Can't wait to come back and try other stuff. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you so much. Really enjoyed it.”

“Cracking little cafe, had the big breakfast and was not disappointed, food hit and well cooked, nice decent sized coffee and sat at a table overlooking the small river/canal to the side. Weather outside was sleet and windy so this was a really pleasant place to be. Staff happy and friendly so could not ask for more!”
