Permits are required for vessels transiting the waters of Kealakekua Bay, including kayaks, boats, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, and inflatables. Commercial permitted kayaks must have State Parks issued decals affixed to both sides. Non-commercial permits do not authorize any business operations within the park.
