As of May 11, 2023, drinking water is temporarily unavailable within the park, so it is advised to bring your own water. Bottled water is available for free at the ranger station from 8 a.m. to sunset. Due to low water levels in the lake and river areas, boat tours are not operating and the boat ramp is closed to trailer-launched vessels. Some sections of the river may require portage for paddlers, so please contact the ranger station at 941-361-6511 for more information.
