"We went last night after hearing about all the appetizers they give you and how good they were. We got nothing! After waiting an hour for food it was cold and shrimp and scallops tasted like low tide! Portions were small. After dinner we expected the dessert and wine everyone raves about We had to go to the kitchen and get it ourselves. Making your own drinks at the bar is very cool but would not go back for the food!"
"The owner, Al, is one of the best human beings we have ever met, such a nice character. Throughout dinner he shared some amazing life stories while serving us some of the best seafood we have had along with many samples to feast on. We 100% recommend this place as a casual eat and hang out spot."
"Waitress Elizabeth was incredibly friendly and gave Great service. Food was hot and well prepared. You won’t leave hungry and they keep bringing you surprises…things to try. Amazingly gracious and giving. Definitely a selfless owner as he kept bringing us food to try. They are very flexible with their menu and your needs. It reminds me of a no frills but cool place in Maine we used to go to. It’s not fancy but the atmosphere is super fun."
"Went to Moorings tonight for dinner. This is not your regular dinner experience, this is Al and Moorings, you won't find that anywhere else around but here in the Cape.The food is great and the athmosphere is awesome. Al tells you to go behind the bar and get your drink. He's a very nice and friendly guy who runs this great place for decades already. It's always a great experience to dine at Moorings. We will be back soon...!"
"This is a place with (quirky) character. In fact, I'd be hard-pressed to think of a place with more character. For some people, that's going to be a turn off; for others, this place will feel like home. The service was good, although it tends to come with some surprises. The food (heavy focus on seafood, though one member of our party had a grilled chicken breast that looked delicious) was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed everything on my plate (and really liked a few of the things that were not, too). Don't come here looking for a fancy restaurant, but do check it out to experience the backyard-charm and the very good food!"
