"Will definitely visit again. The room was clean, smelled nice and up to date. Mark was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. To reach the beach you walk thru a pathway and your there.. it is very quiet and remote part of the beach."

"We truly enjoyed the resort. Beautiful rooms and landscaping. We just had a bit of bad luck while we were there. The first night we had extremely noisy upstairs neighbors during the middle of the night. Sounded as if they were remodeling. Thankfully they checked out the next morning; however, our a/c quit working. We also lost an entire dozen donuts the first night to sugar ants. $13 dollars down the drain. Mark moved us to another room to sleep while it was to be repaired. They had problems with the parts and we were finally completely moved to the other room to finish out our time- although we had to do all of the moving from room to room- took several trips. Before we were completely moved, we were having to "live" in both rooms. Although we had these inconveniences, Mark was extremely courteous and helpful during this time."

All of this punctuated by the exceptional customer service of the resort manager Mark. Recently had our 2nd family reunion here and Mark always makes us feel at home. Thank you Mark! "Everything was Fantastic for our staycation! From my first phone call to book with Mark to the minute we left this slice of paradise. The grounds are beautiful. Mark is beyond friendly and accommodating. Our apartment was spacious. It was exactly as advertised. We literally didn’t need a thing besides our clothes! The restaurant recommendations were wonderful. There isn’t anything that I would change about our time there except for a different pillow and that is because I am picky about my pillows. I knew I should have thrown it in the car. You will not be disappointed staying here!"

"Just returned from a 6 night stay here. Great small beach resort with fantastic people managing it. The care of the resort is seen in the meticulously maintained plantings and landscaping. We could see why this place has many return visitors. Reviews about Escape are for the most part very accurate. Highly recommend calling the office before booking online, to ensure the resort is not catering almost exclusively to a multi generational family reunion during your stay. Otherwise expect limited space at the 15 person pool and no space near beach access (a non-issue at a much larger resort). This family reunion during our stay, took the entire length of the Escape beach area (their tents and chairs obnoxiously unoccupied most of the day). Room 14 was nicely equipped, spacious, and had a view of the channel & marina area. Room 14 however is directly above the main maintenance storage room, marina laundry room, and marina bathroom and showers, which made this a loud room during our stay. Floor vibrated when washer and dryer going at same time, while the live-aboards in the slip directly across from the room singing in the showers, ensured an earlier than expected (cheery?) wake-up. We would definitely book again when returning to the area for a beach vacation, but in another room."
