"This place was lovely to stay at with super friendly staff! I stayed here a long time ago with my brother and our large dog and had a blast. Rooms were beautifully done and honestly our fond memories of visiting Casey Key are part of the reason we relocated to Sarasota County as adults. Highly recommend this resort- owners are kind, other guests are friendly and fun to exchange stories with, and best of all you will make memories that last a lifetime."

"I just spent three months, from Nov 1- Feb 1, in a bungalow here. It was an absolute pleasure. The owners were friendly, helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed. The resort is a true taste of old Florida, authentic, casual, and safe. It is directly on the beach, which is never busy, always beautiful, with lots of birds and an abundance of shells. Sunsets are spectacular. Gulf Sands is located just before private residences begin, so the beach is very quiet; it almost feels like it's your beach. Casey Key is a special island, once you cross the drawbridge you are met with beauty and serenity. If you want a a public beach, beautiful Nokomis Beach is on the south end, with a drum circle twice a week. If you come in December, you will enjoy the beautiful Venice Boat Parade. I will treasure my memories of Gulf Sands Resort."

"This resort is the true gem on Casey Key. I have stayed there many weeks and is my go to.The rooms are furnished so beautiful and has everything you'd need. The owner Alan is great and makes you feel at home. And the path to beach winds through the sea grass. I strongly recommend it. Enjoy"

"I stayed at The Gulf Sands beach resort for 3 nights with my family and wow! The location could not have been better. The hotel is located basically in the sand, right on a beautiful soft sand beach. It was quiet, quaint, and charming. Our 2 bedroom apartment was clean and fully stocked. We were able to make coffee in the morning (so important), cook and grill through the day, and not leave the beach for 3 days straight (besides a grocery store run). Amy, who checked us in, was extremely accommodating and always available for any questions and requests we had. A huge perk... they allow dogs! I had my miniature poodle with us and he had a blast! I will definitely be back, and highly suggest this hotel if you're looking for a quiet, beach front, relaxing get away!"

"I recently stayed at the Gulf Sands resorts and had a great experience. The manager was very helpful and accommodating. She was able to guide me to the local spots for activities and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, clean, bright and had that old school Florida feel which you don’t get these days. The private beach was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on...and it’s practically right outside your room! I am definitely going back and highly recommend"
