“Absolutely fantastic service! I desperately needed a cat sitter for my 3 furr babies and Coreen managed to get me in her diary pretty last minute. She did an amazing job looking after my cats as well as doing some cleaning which was a lovely surprise. I went away for a week and every day I received updates, pictures and videos of my pets which kept my mind at ease and made my time away so much better. Will 100% be booking cat visits in the future ! 10 / 10 best cat sitter I've ever met ♥️”

“Used the kennels for the first time last weekend. Don't live locally to them but my son does. They were recommended by my son's friends who use them. Very friendly staff. My dog came back happy and they thought she was "adorable" which was lovely. The only downfall for me was the limited time for collection on a Sunday- between 5 and 6pm only. Otherwise very happy with the service!”

“Wow!! What a location! The views, lack of light pollution and peace are all second to none. The owners have thought of everything to make your glamping stay as enjoyable and stress free as it can be! The honesty shop is a great idea too. The pods are cosy and beds comfy! The area is also beautiful with plenty of place to explore.. Do check our Carsington Water, and for drinks/food the Red Lion at Kniverton is about 40 mins walk away from a byway at the edge of the site. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked a second trip.”

“Highly recommend Barkers Retreat for all you dog caring needs from walks to daycare to overnight stays, Jade is a gem and has a real passion for animals, she’s treats our dog like her own and he’s always excited to go on his group walks with her and she never fails to bring him back exhausted from all the fun he’s had and we get photos and videos during his walks so we can see what he’s been up to. Very satisfied customer of nearly two years.”

“Our 21 month old cockerpoo has been going to Drew at The Hound Hut since he was a puppy. Drew and Robyn make an amazing job of grooming him, he looks and smells like a different dog when he comes out. They are so good with him and he’s always excited to see them. “We’ve been using Saint Leonard Vet Centre in Allestree since we had our Dog 4 years ago, Karl and his team have been fantastic supporting our dog with Grass Allergies, (and our cat, who loses a few fights). Maraide, Louise and the whole team are so friendly, they make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. More recently our second dog has been diagnosed with epilepsy, Sam has taken the time to explain and reassure us, educating us on all treatment options. We couldn’t wish for a more person/dog centred approach to all care that we’ve received. A big thank you to Karl, Sam and everyone at Saint Leonards, we really appreciate the care and compassion you have given us.”

Our female German Shepard is often nervy around new people, but high wood kennels have taken great care of her, and the young girl who looked after Myah made a great bond and that was clear to see when we arrived to collect her. She was booked in for 3 days and booked for a wash and brush service. She smells and looks amazing. My other half called every day to check in on her and it never seemed a hassle to them. Only boarding kennels we will use. Fantastic service and friendly people. Many thanks guys! We will be booking in again soon for an overnight stay and wash and brush package again.”
