Half Moon Bay History Association
● OpenThe Half Moon Bay History Association, located at 625 Miramontes Street in Half Moon Bay, California, is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing the rich history of the San Mateo Coastside. The association recently opened the new Coastside History Museum in June 2023, featuring a variety of new and older exhibits from the Jail museum, as well as additional artifacts from their collection. Visitors can also explore the Jail museum to take "cell-fies" and learn about the history of the Coastside. The museum is open on weekends from 11am to 3pm, as well as during Make it Main Thursday evenings and some days mid-week when docents are available. Exhibits showcase the history of the San Mateo Coastside, including the Ohlone period, farming, railroads, and the diverse cultures that have shaped the region. Local artifacts are also on display for visitors to enjoy.
