"A great place to visit, lot's to see, friendly staff!"
"Awesome museum with a lot of cool displays and items on the history of the area. It was so much fun walking around and seeing all the different time periods and aspects of the county in display. The two ladies at the front desk were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely would stop in and walk around again"
"One of the more interesting museum's we have been in, on the coast. It is $5 a person to get in. It was informative and diverse."
"It's hard to describe and a true treasure. I could spend a week exploring it. Not a 5 star because there is some very disturbing history presented without much context or awareness. It's a lot and I can only imagine the impact on a person with Asian or Native American or Black identity. The staff were kind and full of stories about the historic shipwreck. I hope they embrace additional curation to bring more transparency and accountability to this truly special collection."
"Local home-town museum. Lots to look at. Probably too much! Some displays are really well-done (especially the fresnel lens). Others are somewhat hodgepodge, but that's typical of a home-town museum. They even use the space in jail cells for display. A few of the displays are not easy to see because you are blocked off, or the display is behind reflective glass or behind jail cell bars. But for the price, this is a pretty nice museum."
