Since 1983, the Friends of Mt. Tam have been dedicated volunteer ambassadors, enhancing visitor experiences through education, interpretation, volunteering, and stewardship. Our programs include topical speakers, night-sky tours, and star parties where enthusiasts share their telescopes, offering a glimpse into the wonders of the universe.

Visit the visitor center to purchase books, apparel, water bottles, and more, while learning about the park's rich natural resources and viewing a detailed diorama of local wildlife. Our volunteers are always ready to provide information to make your visit enjoyable and informative.
