"I recently had a terrible experience with Budget Car Rental. I waited at the counter for over 10 minutes while all the employees were in the back chitchatting. When someone finally showed up, they were visibly upset with me for needing to return my car, displaying a shocking level of unprofessionalism and rudeness. This encounter was marked by a complete lack of customer service, respect, and kindness. If you value your time and sanity, I strongly urge you to consider other rental companies. Budget Car Rental’s utter disregard for customers makes them a company to avoid at all costs."

"The worst car rental experience ever. I rented a car to JFK airport for an international trip a month ago and had received a remider for pick up every other day. The day before the pickup, at 5:50 pm, they called me saying that they don't have the availability for the car I rented. By that time, most of car rental stores were already closed, and I was not able to find anywhere to rent a car althought my flight is next day at JFK in New York. I will never rent the car from Budget again."

"Terrible customer service. I booked a car online earlier in the day because my car was in the shop. Paid through Priceline. Arrived 10 min before the location closed. The doors were locked and no one was there. When I called customer service they told me I could go to the airport and pay double the price. I told them that would not work for me. I was transferred to another person. Who said I could go to the airport and pay the same price however the previous person had canceled my reservation and now I could no longer do that. After some time they came back and said they could credit me the original price that I was quoted. It would still be double what I was originally told. The customer service is awful. They dropped the ball on multiple occasions. I do not recommend this location or budget in general."

"Great experience. And excellent service provided. Called to see if I could get the car early was no issue there and then had to call on a Sunday to extend my rental for a day both pickup, extension and drop off were quick and easy. Can’t remember the woman’s name who helped me but will use them again in the future"

"If there would be 0stars i would put it. I have never ever left any negative reviews but i feel like people should know how irresponsible budget car rental is. I am traveling with my family to Washington and had to reserve and prepay for my car rental which they said is available. I will mention that i reserved it a week ahead. The Mason Montgomery location. They called me 2 days before pick and told me no cars left. It’s a prepaid rental! I understand this may happen sometimes but the rudeness of calling me and telling me to call customer service and basically get it figured out was out of line. Like yeaa we dont have cars here so call customer service … rude very rude!!!! I do not recommend budget because this is NOT our first time getting this kind of service. The last one was they never even told us that there were no cars!!!!"
