"Penny made it possible to inter my father with his parents who had passed some 40 years ago. My siblings and i werent comfortable holding onto his ashes and i felt this was the best solution. I was young when my grandparents passed and never really knew where they were. After doing some research i contacted Penny here at Greenwood. From start to finish she was nothing short of pleasant and full of Southern charm. Thank you so much to Penny and the owners of Greenwood for allowing my to place my father with his parents."
"I had called to inquire about being cremated and interred with my father at this location. Penny was so kind and helpful and we discussed our Bible reading etc made me feel so welcome. Called back today for quote and won't do that without paperwork from my brother who owns the plot who is fine with this scenario. Now says will have to check with grounds personnel about availability? Availability? It's an existing grave how can it be not available. Refuses to give me a dollar amount. Sooooo different from the other day. Rude, discourteous and has done none of what she said she was going to do. So just forget it I don't need the aggravation"
"Friends, yesterday I went to spend time with my Daddy. To my disbelief, I could not find him. Then, I did. My father’s temporary marker was removed. Why? Well, both Laurie & Kim (the owner) told us that because we did not purchase his permanent marker from them. Greenwood/ Bridges were given both description & picture of what we wanted to represent our family. After many months of waiting, phone calls, & meetings to view their depiction we were not given what we had asked. In addition, we were given a price(on a monument STILL not right)we were not able to pay. Therefore, we went to Brimer Monuments. To our pleasure, we received both our description of a suitable monument & over $2,500 less cost(in addition to paying $1,500 to Greenwood bc we didn’t use them). We were told we should have gone back to Greenwood for them to price match. No, we did not do that. We were not going to do that to Brimer. Give us the best price first. My mother purchased 4 lots over $24,000 at Greenwood. That was not good enough. My family has never seen such childish, vindictive, & unprofessionalism ever. I can not believe a business that deals with grieving families would be lacking compassion to others. So, my dad has not even a stake identifying he is buried there. He means nothing more than dirt to them. THEY REMOVED OUR MEMORIAL DAY FLOWERS TOO. SHAMEFUL! Heed the warning Greenwood’s Motto: Money over family. THEY WANT ALL OR YOU WILL BE SHOWN NO RESPECT. Racket. It is a beautiful place without hearts who own it. ###did not need this."
"I have several family members located in this cemetery. They used to be very easy to deal with, but since new folks have began running things, they are difficult to work with, and in some cases, impossible to work with. Their new policies put a strain on the family during an already difficult time, and we learned through the process from folks in the business that the only way to receive decent treatment is if you are affiliated with a certain funeral home in town. We wanted to inter my mother on a Sunday, and at the frustration of my family and the funeral home we were using, Greenwood said we had missed their "weekend deadline:" by just a few minutes. That was on a Friday. When we went by and checked, the grave had actually already been dug on Saturday, after they told us they couldn't do that. We had to inter on Monday, which put a strain on many of my family members, and yet even after explaining this to them, Greenwood still wouldn't budge. My family has determined that we will not be using them in the future, as any remaining plots we have will be sold, and cremation services will be sought."
