During my visit, I encountered a delightful surprise—a cute corgi prancing around with infectious joy. "Long walk from parking to park. Beautiful park with nice water feature. Has a stage. Wheel chair accessible around the water. Great views of the Sunsphere, fountain and more. They have a wonderful Veterans Memorial at the edge of the park."
"First time visiting Knoxville, and was pleasantly surprised to find how beautiful this area is. Fountains, walkways and so many great picture spots. There are also public restrooms with vending machines with icecream, snacks and drinks."
"It is a must see if your in the area. Beautiful park with lots of walkways, fountains, & of course the Sunsphere. Only downside is where the parking is too get to the park. Hours are 6am to Midnight. They have security. Solar lights along the walkway. & the amphitheater which is really cool as well. The bridges are painted & the one has birds all along the wall & ceiling. U can drive all the way around the area. It was fairly busy. Kids playing in the fountain area which shoot up pretty high. The Veteran Monument is there as well & a must see if you have the time to get out and stroll around. U won't be disappointed. Just be careful when it gets a lil late I saw a homeless man sleeping in the area around the Sunshpere. Thn while leaving & driving across the train tracks a guy came running up to my back window scared me to death I just took off. So be careful when it gets close to midnight. But it's breathtaking during the day & esp at night & so peaceful."
"This was a fantastic stop while heading to Pigeon Forge. Very beautiful area with the fountain, green space, and use of water. I would have really enjoyed going up into the Sunsphere. There is a fair amount of parking in the lot designated for the park. Definitely cool that the World's Fair was held here and there is information around for education."
