"My smoke alarm would not stop beeping so the firemen came in their full gear at 2:30 in the morning to help me. They were so kind and professional and they stopped the horrible beeping that I could not figure out. Definitely saved my sanity"
"I live in a high rise apartment building and they come every time a 911 medical emergency is called. Unfortunately the men who work at the fire department and the paramedics upon ariving are given the wrong information. from a tenant here and they take the information as fact and put trust in this tenant who is only out to get what they can. They leave them with keys to units of people who are having an emergency and taken to the hospital. The fireman were told by this person a tenant set a fire when the truth is the fire was most likely set by the tenant who is being untruthful. It's easy to figure out who she is because she is the first one the fireman see. You cannot trust people with important information that effects the lives of elderly and disabled. There is liability and privacy laws that is suppose to protect them."
"I am very disturbed by the treatment of this one particular fireman that works for bearden. While I was handing over a patient from 25 minutes of cpr to EMT. He was Very rude. He was yelling and not once but two times. I was in shock. With blood all over me and exhausted. We were in small grocery store. 15-20 feet away trying to recoup. Wipe blood off me and hydrate. I have been in medical field for years. I was appalled at his entire demeanor. The look on his face, the voice. Not someone I would want working as a public service provider. I never write complaints, but this man was somewhat disturbed very angry while others attended the patient and not in the correct field of such a public health service. I have a few firefighter friends and I am definitely going to file a complaint. There is a lot of people wanting to do his job that he is not compassionate enough about."
"I'm not sure what the names was from the two gentlemen working today. It sadly didn't come to me to think to have asked but both on Ladder 18 and the gentleman who came out all was very nice to my son today. Thank you all for letting my son see the fire trucks. Thank you all for your service as well. Please be safe on your alls job. To have seen the joy in my sons face was the greatest ever. You guys totally made his and may day again thank you all so much."
"If I could post a zero, I would. A man in a uniform came raging at me in front of this fire hall on August 23 at 2:00 pm. I had stopped for the light at the corner when it turned red - and my 91 year-old mother told me she was having trouble breathing. I see this man - coming from outside the fire hall towards me - and he raged at me about where I was and how I was blocking the fire hall. I documented all of this in a complaint letter to the new Chief of Police - who did contact me - and assigned to an employee to investigate while at the same time sending it to the fire chief. The police department was not responsible but did apologize for our shoddy treatment- and again, said they were turning it over to the fire department. I have had contact with the fire chief - I made an error on the date this happened. Now it is still in process (investigation) - and police told the correct date. Yes, I’ve gotten apologies-from Department heads - but NO ONE is named, held accountable. I just told the fire chief to forget it. Citizens- pull out your cell phones. I never thought I’d be in the position to state this or put it on-line. I know if I had opened my mouth, I would have been in trouble. The WORST experience with a public employee ever!"
