"I’ve grown up in church my entire life (literally since week 1 of life). I grew up Baptist and attended churches that were non-denominational as well. I fell out of it in college, and tried half-heartedly to find somewhere I belonged when I moved away to university, but never found a place that felt like home and pushed me in my relationship with Christ. Finally, in January 2024, I started attending Heart & Soul. This church is genuinely my favorite I’ve ever attended for numerous reasons. 1.) the pastor is legit. Pastor Austin Coleman is able to combine humor with anecdotes, verses, and simple, fantastic preaching to bring about messages that I’ve never heard preached that way. They’re digestible. They’re relevant to what I experience as a twenty something year old but relevant to my mom, my gramma, and my younger sister too. “New days, old demons”, “sabbath”, “anxiety”, and “the Holy Spirit” are just a few recent ones that put the Word into a deeper and more relevant context that I’ve never had. 2.) the connections you’ll make are fast, deep, and so genuine if you get involved at Party and serving. People that attend here, as far as I’ve seen, genuinely try to love as Christ loved. They want EVERYONE in Knoxville to come to know Christ, and they’re filling Heaven from Knoxville. That’s their goal. Start in our own city with the thousands of lost souls longing to know their God. Seek the lost and bring them to Him. That’s what Heart & Soul Church encourages. You HAVE to get involved to make connections, though. JOIN PARTY (what we call small groups because they legit are parties.) The people and connections and conversations are AWESOME. And you have to serve. God calls all to serve at some capacity. There’s a place for you somewhere at Heart & Soul and plenty of people hoping to help you find it! I could go on an on, gushing about how this Church is strengthening my relationship and understanding of God and who He is in my life. The people and their passion and love for others shines bright as a reflection of God and the value He places on His people. If you’ve been looking for a church, I can almost guarantee this place could be your new home church and your relationship with God will blossom here if you truly learn and listen and make connections!"

"Honestly I had fully walked away from the church after being very hurt by a church that was only business minded and never followed through on provided aid for me when I needed the support and encouragement. But since I have been attending Heart & Soul, and spending months to try them out before walking away, I have found the most genuine community that only cares about you feeling safe, loved, and seen over anything else. If you are wanting to test the waters and get back into your faith, I highly recommend Heart & Soul! Teaching are focused on specific worldly problems with tangible steps to overcoming them and growing your faith. Shame and guilt is not a thing that stops people from being loved here."
