"I don’t regularly write reviews, but I had such a good experience with Bill Luther of Chandler Real Estate (and I’ve heard real estate horror stories!) that I feel compelled to post about my experience. The short version: if you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, hard-working, compassionate, funny, professional and understanding broker, hire Bill. I was in a difficult spot when I was looking for a new home. It wasn’t something that I would have chosen to do but I lost my home to a fire and needed to find a new place to live. I interviewed a few people before I decided to work with Bill. I was looking for someone who had experience in the neighborhoods that I wanted to explore but who also knew enough about the market that I would be comfortable taking their advice. Bill has terrific experience and knows the market (current and past). He also knew how to gently introduce me to different neighborhoods when it became clear to me that I wouldn’t be able to afford the type of home I wanted in my first-choice towns. Rather than tell me that upfront, Bill and I went to several open houses so that I could see for myself. We expanded the search to places that Bill figured (correctly) would appeal to me. Also, by going to see properties, it became clearer to me the sort of home that would be a best fit for me. Bill listens but he also knows when to suggest something that I might have excluded out of hand. He told me about a home in a style that I don’t like. It wouldn’t have come up in my searches. But is turns out that with the improvements the owner had made, that it was a great house for me. During the actual offer and negotiation process, Bill was with me every step of the way. I was given expert guidance and I’m very happy with the price I paid for the property I ended up with. For me, home buying was a learning experience as this was the first time buying a house (previously I was a condo owner). I couldn’t have had a better more patient expert guide in Bill."

"I recently worked with Catherine to sell a condominium in Cambridge, Ma. The entire experience was superb from start to finish - from advising/assisting and helping to manage the renovations to listing, showing and securing a signed offer in under 30 days! It was far from an easy negotiation and the final leg of securing all the necessary documentation was bumpy (no fault of theirs). They even spent 3 hours driving to locations to pick up paperwork due to Covid "work from home" restrictions. They got it all done and we had no delays to our agreed closing. "DO NOT LIST WITH THEM After Catherine Luther rescheduled twice and postponed once on the time slots she proposed to show a listing, she didn't show up at all! Even I texted her half an hour before the appointment. When I called her, she pretended that she made a mistake but clearly she just forgot or cannot show up for unknown reason. No wonder the listing price has dropped $55k but still on market after a month. I hope the seller in Belmont could see this post and change to another agency."
